🌧 Driving in rain and flood water - Stay safe! πŸš—

With wet weather around (Still!), here are some important reminders for all drivers:

βœ… Slow down - wet roads mean longer stopping distances
βœ… Increase your following distance
βœ… Use dipped headlights so others can see you
βœ… Avoid sudden braking or sharp steering
βœ… If visibility is poor, pull over somewhere safe.

❌ Never drive through flood water if you're unsure of the depth.
Just 30cm of moving water can move a car, and flood water may hide potholes or broken drains.

If you must drive through shallow water:
πŸ‘‰ Go slowly in first gear
πŸ‘‰ Keep revs steady
πŸ‘‰ Test your brakes afterwards

Remember, if in doubt - don't go out. Your safety comes first.

Learners - these conditions are great practice for awareness and control, but always drive to your ability πŸ’™

Stay safe everyone!

The DVSA have released important changes on booking driving tests which will come into affect on 31st March, read below on how this might affect you;

➑ Learner drivers will only be able to book and among their own tests, instructors will no longer be allowed to do this for them. We have already implemented this change and from January have no longer booked tests on behalf of students, we have actually found this works a lot better for both us and the student in finding last minute availability.

➑ You'll be limited to just 2 changes to your test appointment (time/date/centre), after that full need to cancel and rebook. This will be reduce people booking and holding tests when they are not ready and will free up more tests for students that are ready for a test.

➑ Tests will only be available to be moved to nearby test centres once booked - no long distance relocations.

πŸ“Œ These changes are designed to make the system fairer and reduce misuse/fraud.

What do yo think of the changes and how will they affect you?

πŸš— Important update for learner drivers!
Due to DVSA changes, learners now need to book their own driving tests - instructors can no longer book for you. You'll also only be able to change your test twice and only to local centres. This aims to make the system fairer and reduce delays.
