Just had my ct scan. Got to wait a week or two for doctor to review it and call me.

Knee is a lot less swollen. A lot less pain. But if do walk or stand for too long I’m in pain. And if I move the knee too much I’m on the ceiling in pain.

But I’m slowly recovering.

But of a personal update from my tumble.

I can move my knee more now and start to add a small amount of weight on it. The swelling is going down but the bruising is coming through.

Thanks for all the customers who understand what’s happened and giving help and consideration.
Il be back on the spanner’s soon. Just can’t say when as don’t want to push too far and mess things up even more.

So. Yesterday I came off the scooter doing the prostate cancer charity ride and messed up my left knee. Had X-rays no breaks or fractures. But I can’t weight bare on it at all. Might have messed up the soft tissue instead and the pain is immense when trying to add weight / pressure.

Thanks to everyone who has asked if I’m okay. Will you all updated when any news comes. But atm work has to stop unfortunately.

Been super busy. Should have taken more pics and updated sooner.

Little service on a gsxr600 after being stood for a year. All new fluids. New plugs and filters.

Zzr1400 in for helperformance.com brake and clutch lines (use these personally, couldn’t recommend them any more, 120% worth it!) customer wanted them done as when at a track day. Fluid boiled and lost confidence in the brakes. So new lines front and rear!!

Aprilia with fuel and electric problems (shock!!) new oem fuel line was over £200! made one with good quality parts. Customers happy with that saving!

Just some general 125 service. Chain and sprockets. Etc.

Been also helping the garage behind with an aprilia rs50 project for their daughter. Passed mot aswell after alot of digging and after a few garages firing the parts cannon at it. Leave it to me il find the issue!!

Kinda sorta busy atm!!
Even had time to look at my bike. Was cutting in and out of 3 cylinders. Carbs off and on the bench in 20mins. Cleaned reassembled. Just to find it was a completely dead ignition coil.

Today was fairly productive.

New chain and sprockets on a 24 plate Yzf r125. Noticed a couple of things while doing it. The last person to fit it put the master clip the wrong way. Even though it shows you on the box. 🤦‍♂️

Made a proper connector for the Piaggio 3 pin connector for the ecu. Not just wire jumpers.

And then back onto the Lambretta project for a local club. Putting an auto engine in a lammy frame. What fun it’s been taking a while box of wires out of the loom that arnt needed. Managed to even get the starter motor spinning. Got its spark back after testing the stator and pick up. Found out to be a failed ignition coil. Swapped it over to a new one. Good healthy spark. Put it all back together. Some easy start down the inlet manifold and fires up. So now it’s just tidy up the remaining wires and get things in places where they should be.

UNDEFEATED CHAMPION!!

Have been working through a failed mot sheet on a ybr 125. And one of the jobs was headstock bearings. I hate doing them (oh and fork seals) but a few years ago I bit the bullet and spent just over £200 on this one tool. It’s made it soo much easier to remove the outer race and install the near bearing without damaging either the stem. The bearing. The race or even the frame.

What a bit of kit!!

Took the bandit up to helperformance.com yesterday for a brake line being fit to a Vespa gt200.

Apparently the rear brake lines are a common issue over years expanding under pressure. New line in. New banjo bolts and new copper washers. A good few minutes to bleed but now the customer has rear brake and is safe on the road again.

The staff at where 12/10 made the brake line while I waited took maybe 5-10mins and I must of seen about 5-6 staff members. Each staff member asked if I was being seen to and very polite. Don’t normally get that kind of customer service anymore.

I can now get into the Vespa gts ecu to read and erase codes and view live data. This scooter had these issues. Which triggered because of a low battery. And an aftermarket exhaust was fitted so the lambda sensor was removed. But the ecu is wanting data from it.
