While diagnostics often start on a laptop, the fix is sometimes purely mechanical.

This time, the issue came down to damaged exhaust sensor threads, preventing the sensor from seating correctly and triggering fault codes.

A small repair, but one that makes a big difference to reliability and sensor accuracy.

Modern vehicles may be packed with technology, but skilled hands in the workshop are still essential. 👌

It’s easy to forget just how much abuse our vehicles take day in, day out.

They spend their lives outside, sit in traffic, rack up motorway miles, bounce over potholes and deal with everything the British weather can throw at them.

Then every now and again they end up in the workshop, up on the ramp with the wheels off and everything exposed.

That’s when a vehicle really starts to tell its story. You can see what’s wearing well, what might need a bit of attention in the near future and spot those little issues before they turn into bigger ones.

Most of the time there are no nasty surprises. Just a collection of hardworking parts quietly getting on with their job and keeping their owners moving without a fuss.

There’s something quite satisfying about that on a sunny afternoon in the workshop!
