A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Mannington this Sunday. It was a fantastic turnout, great to see so many new faces and "new" old trucks, and the weather couldn't have been much better.

Unfortunately, we do need to address a couple of issues. One of the entry gate posts at the site was damaged during the day, and so far nobody has come forward. If no one does, the club will have to cover the repair costs.

We all know accidents happen, but honesty goes a long way. So whoever was involved, or if you know who was, please contact a committee member privately so we can sort it out fairly.

We also need everyone to think about the time towards the end of the day. Repeated late recoveries mean we're overrunning our agreed hire period, leaving committee members behind after the event was due to end, and damaging our relationship with the landowner. If we want to keep using this fantastic site, we all need to help by respecting the venue, the timings, and the volunteers who give up their weekends.

Thanks again to everyone who attended and helped make it such an enjoyable day. Let's keep working together to make sure we can continue enjoying this site for years to come.

Meet Sally a gorgeous 90 cared for by father and son duo Peter and James. She has plenty of character and apparently a rather dramatic way of introducing herself!

Just 40 miles into the NC500 she decided to blow her head gasket. Because why wait until the trip is over?

After two nights sleeping in a barn, a fair bit of spannering, and a refusal to admit defeat, Peter and James got her back on the road. They caught up with the rest of the convoy and still managed to enjoy the best bits of the route.

She is proof that old Land Rovers don't always make life easy... but they do make the best stories.

Next adventure? Morocco. 🌍

Let's just hope Sally has got all the drama out of her system... although, knowing Land Rovers, she'd probably call that "warming up." 😂🚙💨
