Work to reduce speed limits on the A339 Newtown Road, between Pinchington Lane and the Swan roundabout, will begin soon following a public consultation. The limit will drop from 50mph to 40mph, with the roundabout reduced to 30mph.

Overnight closures (7pm–5am) will be in place for four nights from Tuesday 26 May, with signed diversions. While closed, additional works will include signage, road markings, pedestrian and traffic signal improvements, and general maintenance.

The new speed limits will come into force on Sunday 31 May. We know that roadworks are disruptive and thank you for your patience while this work is carried out.

Wow Ismay what a fantastic result! Passing your test with 2 minors ! I know you were so anxious about your test and never believed in you could do until the last few weeks leading upto it . On test day I’ve not seen someone so nervous, but you held your nerve and showed the examiner what you can do ! So very proud of how far you have come with your anxiety not just as a learner driver but believing in yourself as a person too … keep believing as you truly are a wonderful person who needs to trust and believe now ! I will miss teaching you , stay in touch and keep safe 🚗
