Fault read using BMW diagnostic tooling, with various faults stored and unfortunately been going on for a while it was time we set to work. Few basic diagnostic checks including a smoke test uncovered a multiple split boost pipe.

Another M5 that completely needed sorting out and bringing back to a high standard that’s been lacking for years.

With a few customer niggles diagnosed and addressed firstly we set about making sure the maintenance was there to match.

As repair works unfolded we certainly know it was never in the greatest hands prior to us, even the spark plugs were the original 10 year old spark plugs 🫣and there was definitely no history of this logged.

Probably the furthest car that’s ever graced our workshop before. Whilst the car spends summer over here before going back to Kuwait 🇰🇼. With this M5 driven pretty hard 95% of the time they needed it back to full health on return to customer. Few customer issues to be addressed which one was resolved by a rear suspension arm bolt not correctly done up after previous repairs elsewhere.

Power Upgrades 🏁

WIth the common failure points being the plastic boost pipes and end tanks of intercooler that fail over time, with this one off for tuning fairly soon, it was time to upgrade.

• DO88 Intercooler
• DO88 Intercooler Pipework Set

Whilst in there we noticed a coolant clip that wasn’t located correctly on the coolant line. Quickly rectified to stop any failure points on the dyno for the customer.

Smoke Tested to ensure no leaks ✅
Road Tested ✅

Drivetrain Warning on display 🚨

As to be not expected by the customer they had a drivetrain warning light on because they had completely burnt out their clutch and damaging the flywheel also.

Finished off nicely buy the rectification of sorting out the rear brake lights had failed with a couple of new rear light units.
