BMW MG1 ECU unlocking, now available in-house 🔐

It's been a long wait for BMW owners of 2020+ cars wanting to tune their car, but that wait is finally over ⌛️

We can now unlock supported BMW MG1 ECUs here at AP Automotive using Bench mode. The ECU does not need to be opened, we simply connect our adaptor directly to the ECU to carry out the unlock.

The car was due for scheduled maintenance, so by verifying the required service from key data 🔑, we carried out the service which was to include diff oil change ⚙️.
We used Motul oil for the rear differential.

We are now in full flow with DSG TCU Unlocks 💪
As many will be aware, Volkswagen Audi SEAT & Skoda gearboxes from 2022 have been 'locked' and therefore un-tuneable...until now ❗️

We had this Golf R with us just under 2 years ago for Racingline ECU Tuning and the owner has been patiently waiting for the TCU unlock.

This week we we're able to finally serve the customer and provide RacingLine Performance TCU Unlock, Dynamic TCU & Upgrade the Engine ECU from low torque to high torque calibration 💻

Big news❗️
Racingline at AP Automotive can now unlock the DQ381 G2 and ZF8 gearboxes via the RacingLine Server in minutes - with no mechanical changes needed, no hardware mechatronics swaps, no third-party tools, no transmission strip-downs - and minimal waiting!

Until now, the latest 2021+ locked DSG and ZF8 transmission control units have prevented TCU tuning access. That all changes with the new RacingLine CommsLink Cable. At last, AP Automotive will be ready to flash RacingLine TCU software into your 2021+ Volkswagen, Audi, Cupra or Skoda DQ381 G2 or ZF8 TCU with the locked "401" boot loader.
