This week we’ve got a real rarity in the workshop: a BMW R1800 in a green that only 10 bikes in the world have ever worn.

And it’s not just a pretty colour. The R1800 is built around the biggest boxer engine BMW has ever made, a massive 1,802cc twin that’s all about effortless, chest-thumping torque. Whether you’re pulling away from the lights or cruising down an open road, it delivers smooth, relaxed power that you feel as much as hear.

The styling is pure old-school BMW. Think teardrop tank, exposed shaft drive, polished chrome and deep paintwork, all inspired by the classic BMW heritage bikes of the 1930s but built with modern tech and quality.

To keep it rolling in style, we fitted a fresh set of Metzeler ME 888 tyres. Built for heavy cruisers, they’re a great match for the R1800, with strong grip, confident handling and long-lasting mileage.

Put it all together and you get a bike that’s a proper head-turner, comfortable to ride and incredibly rare. You’d be hard pressed to spot another one on the road!

Bike of the Week: the Honda CB500 Hornet!

Our fitter Matt picked this one, and we're totally sure the bright yellow paint had nothing to do with it... (Matt owns a yellow bike himself, so we're not exactly shocked.)

Joking aside, it's a great choice. The CB500 Hornet is light, nimble and A2 friendly, which makes it a brilliant all-rounder for commuting, weekend blasts and everything in between. We've fitted it with a fresh pair of Michelin Road 6s here at our Telford Workshop for confident grip in wet and dry.
