Harper Adams Off-Road Club

We are a group of students who strive to improve and push forward the Harper Adams Off-Roading Club. These events include point to point challenges and trials.

The club was built for Harper Adams students who have an interest for 4x4's and off-road driving. The club operates 2 off-road vehicles for its members to drive at various events held over the academic year. The club also tries to hold one green-lane trip per term. Here is some footage thats been extracted from the livestream of our weekend with Pivot Productions.
Again, an absolutely massive thank you to Pivot Productions for coming out and filming us having some fun. It was a successful day with both Harper vehicles and personal vehicles running around the track. Had a variety of Disco's, Defenders, Freelander's, and Land Cruisers going around; as well as our very own HAUORC Challenger Truck and the HAMSC Tom-Cat. It was a fantastic experience for all of us.
Huge appreciations for Pivot Productions and everyone who helped out.

HAUORC are attending the 4x4 Expo at Stafford County Show Ground.
Come and join us as we talk all things off-road, Engineering and university life.

23rd February 2025,
£12 for advanced tickets,
£15 for on the day tickets.

Another great day was had by our members out trialling on our on site track, lots of mickey taking and all round healthy support was dished out as we all had a go at the challenge!

It was great to see people who had never had a go at this before come and give it a go, finding out what a great hobby this is!

The day was rounded off by a fantastic meal in the Sutherland Arms who have always looked after us!

A great appreciation and thanks to all of our sponsors who again, make these opportunities possible and happen for Harper students!!

Happy International Women’s Day from HAUORC

From Drivers, Passengers, Mechanics, Photographers, Execs and those that join us for Socials we have a wide range of Women to celebrate in the HAUORC this year.

As a club historically we have had a very male membership. However we are proud to say this year we have almost a 50/50 gender split across all aspects of the club. As Off-Roading is traditional a stereotypically male interest, as a club we hope to enable more women to explore the wide range of activities within the club and maybe help a few discover interests they never thought they would.

As the Events manager and Female Social Exec, when I joined Harper 18 months ago although I had a defender I never thought I’d have had as many opportunities to meet new people with the same interests and learn new skills about my own interests. And of course trundling along the Welsh hills with a fabulous group of friends and women is no bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon!! - Millie

Sunday held an excellent day greenlaning in Llangollen along the Welsh borders!

A great turnout of people bringing all sorts of 4x4’s to have fun and test their abilities on some Welsh terrain!

Sunday saw an excellent day spent at 4x4 Expo in Staffordshire County Show! A massive thank you to all that came to visit us on the stand.

Meeting old faces, creating new contacts and engaging with great likeminded people. It’s certain to say that it was a great opportunity to meet the sponsors and promote the club.

Many thanks to Britpart for supplying air fresheners, pens, stickers and the squishy land rovers to put out on our stand and give out!

Once again the excellent Paintman Paint doing its job and making the challenge truck stand out from the crowd!

Sunday saw our members have a great day out trialling on the universities own off road course! With a surpise visit from our vice chancellor who throughly enjoyed his trip round the course, well done to Ben for safely completing the course with a very important passenger!!

Lots of enjoyment and vital experiance was gained by our freshers and our older years' skills were put to the test! It was great to see so many people from Harper being so enthusiastic about the club, without the members these events can't happen!

It was also the challenge truck's debut home trial and doesn't she look good!!

Again, these events just simply cannot happen without the continued support from our sponsors.
