🚨We are expanding🚨

Hi everyone hope you are all well.

We are very excited to announce we have now expanded into larger premises, but don’t worry we are still on the same estate just on the other end of row of units ( you can’t miss us).

It’s a bitter sweet day as we wave goodbye to unit D10, our home of 5 years but have now outgrown and need more space for additional ramps. Our new units D7 & D8 will accommodate 3 additional lifts on top of our current two, this is improving our availability considerably and also allowing us to take on larger commercial vehicles.

Stage 1 of the new setup is complete with the 2nd stage due to be completed within in the next couple of weeks.

💦 Wet belts wet belts 💦

This time a Ford Transit 2.0 tdci

Customer having the belt replaced on the recommended interval and was lucky he did. The belt has started to disintegrate and the oil pickup strainer was partially blocked due to the belt partials in the oil.

We are seeing this all the time with the wet belt design so if you do have concerns if your vehicle is fitted with this type of timing belt please give us a call and we will be happy to check for you.

🚨Ford 1.0 eco boost timing belts🚨

A sore subject for many Ford owners with the timing belts failing prematurely resulting in complete engine failure.
The belts start to deteriorate and fall apart causing the rubber from the belt to contaminate the oil and block the oil pickup.

We have been replacing quite a few belts recently with some being fine with replaced as a preventative measure and some being changed due to oil pressure issues.

As you can see by the photos the belt becomes brittle and rough where it has start to come apart.

Replacing the timing belts on this engine is a lengthy job with a large amount of the engine and auxiliary components having to be removed to get to the timing belt and the oil pickup.

The recommended interval for this belt system is 10 years or 150,000 miles, however we are seeing them fail before the recommended intervals.

This engine is fitted to all Ford platforms with the 1.0 eco boost.
