Some parts of The Highway Code are law, other parts aren’t

Here’s how to tell the difference:

🔴 Must/must not = This is the law. Break these rules means fines, points, bans, or even prison

🟡 Should/should not = Strong advice. If you ignore these, they can be used against you in court

Either way, driving safely should always be your priority before setting off on your journey.
