Lots of leaf, lots of work.
Uphill causes voltage to drop in weak cells, making the car think it is out of energy, that's why the percentage drop. It is caused by weak battery modules. Swap out the bad modules and they would be fine driving on the road. Also it is much cheaper than swapping out the whole battery pack.

I had two different clients in this week with the exact same issue. On the dashboard, everything looked fine, but once we hooked up LeafSpy and took them for a test drive, the data showed us the real story.

Take a look at these two clips:

In both videos, you can see the individual cell voltages. As soon as the car is under load—like accelerating or going uphill—specific modules "sag".

Our approach:
Instead of charging the client for a whole new battery pack, we are going to repair, recondition, and rebalance the existing one. By replacing only the weak modules and getting the voltages perfectly aligned again, we can return the car to a predictable, healthy state.

It saves the client a significant amount of money compared to a full pack swap, and it keeps a perfectly good battery on the road.
