Hi, I am a calm, friendly and patient local driving instructor from Taunton, Somerset. I hope to pass my love of driving onto my learners.

I will work willingly with with anxious or nervous learners giving you the tools to keep you safe on the roads.

🌟 Easy for Eli! 🌟

This morning I was able to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride as Eli took his examiner on a lovely drive. Having me, or someone else in the back of the car, can be a comforting presence for some of my learners. Sometimes it's useful for me to help them understand why previous tests haven't gone to plan... but today definitely wasn't one of those days!

A wonderfully safe, confident drive earned Eli a well-deserved pass on his very first attempt. It was lovely to see one of my previous learners (and Eli's friend) giving him a wave as we drove past, and even better to hear the examiner's lovely compliments about his driving at the end of the test.

Now all you have to do, Eli, is decide whether you're going to buy a car! 🚗😄

Good luck with your future studies, and remember, you know where I am if you ever need any driving advice... although I don't think you will!

No pressure for any of my current learners.... 😉😉 but just FYI, I don't need a Hannah Willberry wonder pony keyring with a hand crafted crocheted scarf to match my real life ponys headcollar as I have one of those already!! And I shall name it Izzy Berry! 😍

The snacks however will have been demolished!!

Thank you Izzy for my lovely treat hamper and card that may have made me cry, just a little. Super proud that Izzys first solo drive was to get my goodies. 🙏

But, in all seriousness, I love my job, I never expect anything in return but am so grateful 🙏 x

Who'd have thought that moving the horses to a new yard would lead to a full driving licence!! Izzy, it's been an honour and a privilege to help you be and feel safe on the roads. 🙏

Managing to juggle manual driving lessons along side automatic private practice. I will never forget you telling me that the gears are not as bad as you thought they were going to be!

I've had double Sams before, and double Lillys... now it's time for double Harrys!!!! 🚗🎉
A big, huge, mahoosive congratulations to Harry for gaining his wheels today in Taunton! A very well-deserved pass certificate is in the bag. 👏

Harry did a fantastic job managing those test nerves and even showed that it's possible to go wrong... right! It's absolutely okay to miss your exit, as long as you deal with it safely and follow the rules of the road.

At one five-exit roundabout, Harry accidentally took the 4th exit instead of the 3rd, which led us into a no-through road. No problem at all! He stayed calm, safely turned the car around, and got us back on route for a lovely, safe drive. That's exactly what the examiner wants to see.
Harry, you've been an absolute pleasure to teach. It's been brilliant watching your confidence, understanding and knowledge grow with every lesson.

Keep driving safely, continue learning, and always be prepared for the unexpected.

I won't see you next week, but hopefully I'll see you again soon, as your sister is patiently waiting for a space to become available!

Harry's space already has someone eagerly waiting for it too, so there's no rest for the wicked—we go again next week with a brand-new learner. 🚗

Happy days indeed!!! Huge congratulations to Harry for a superb drive, which resulted in a well deserved pass certificate in sunny Taunton today. 🚗🚗

No more mammoth moped drives to get to work! No more getting wet on rainy days (wouldn't mind a rainy day at the moment though)
No more missing college if your lift can't pick you up!! 😉

Huge congratulations to Scott for finally gaining your independence! I hope it was worth the wait.

Thank you for choosing me to finish off your learning journey after a break of a few years. We oiled the rusty parts and your test today was clear to see all that learning had sunk in beautifully to create another safe road user in Taunton.

So super happy for you today Miss P, for an absolutely beautiful drive in Taunton today. A complex route was wonderfully negotiated safely to secure your full driving licence.

You have taken to driving far better than I think you thought you would, quietly and calmly managing stressful situations like a pro.

Well done for keeping those test day nerves at bay and not listening to your Jeff, remembering how good you are, and how much you understand the roads.

I'm excited to hear how your first solo drive goes.

She believed she could, then doubted herself, then believed herself again.... nope... doubted herself some more.... 😅 but do you know what.... she absolute can and she did! 🤩🤩🤩

Oh Ruby!!! I can't believe you've left me so soon after me buying you some scatter cushions for my car and everything!! But then at least you could see where you were going!

What a wonderful test you drove earlier today for you to receive your full licence 🤩 your skill was never in doubt... (Not by me anyway) the moment you started loving and understanding "that" roundabout it was only ever your overactive chimp (brain) doing the talking. Well done for asking it to keep quiet during your driving test today. You smashed it! (Obviously nothing was actually broken)

Just adding one more celebration before turning in for the night.

This time the excellent Ellie has achieved the next level in her journey to adulthood.

Making the journey back home for the Easter hols and picking up her full driving licence to boot.

Today marks the culmination of all of last years hard work, and the extra driving practice when you come home from Uni. Finally getting used to Mums car (we never thought that would happen) and enjoying the process of things becoming second nature.

You have changed so much in the time from first stepping into a car with me, and it has been a joy and a pleasure watching the change.

Huge congratulations Ellie. Very well deserved.
