Harv's Auto Repairs is looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join our friendly, family run team.

The Role:
We're looking for a motivated and reliable MOT Tester who can carry out MOT tests to a high standard. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification, with this role also being well suited to someone with extensive industry experience.

What We Offer:
✅ Starting salary of £32,000 per year), based on experience
✅ Salary review after 3 months
✅ Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
✅ No weekends or after hours working
✅ Christmas and New Year off
✅ Friendly, supportive family run business
✅ Established for over 11 years, with 35+ years of experience in the motor trade

I don’t normally have a rant on here !
But with the increased running costs and pressure of running my business
The stress and anxiety it brings
You do your best to fix customer car on the same day after failing its MOT test and they are unhappy the next day with how much it cost
I charge them £71.00 to repair a crushed and damaged washer pipe
Which resulted in its passing it MOT test
Then you get a one star ⭐ review left
This makes me want to throw the towel in and close my successful business

Here at Harv’s Auto Repairs we have job opportunities open! We are looking for a vehicle technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be self motivated, capable, and have team-working abilities. Alongside this, they must have a wealth of knowledge of the motor trade, ideally with electrical experience with a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification.
We are also looking for a MOT tester.
The ideal candidate will also be self motivated and can conduct a MOT test to a specific standard and must have a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification. This position may better suit someone with extensive life and professional experience.

Our working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm.

We don't work Weekends or expect our staff to work after hours and are closed between Christmas and New year.

Starting salary is £17.50ph, £36k per year based on experience, reviewed after 3 months.
