A little update from yesterday and where we stand going into today…
Yesterday was a pretty disastrous day for us, and we didn’t secure enough points in qualifying to win the championship outright. That leaves just 90 points between George Miller and me.
So today it simply comes down to whoever gets furthest through the rounds. Whoever goes out first takes second, and whoever gets the furthest takes the VWDRC Sportsman Championship.
Last night we had round one in the dark, and both George and I made it through, so the battle continues today. Night racing is never ideal and brings a whole different set of challenges and driving skills into play — especially in bracket racing when keeping track of where your opponent is becomes so much harder!
