WE ARE RECRUITING!
Our workshop specialises in working only on classic Land Rover Vehicles up to and including Discovery 2 (TD5)s, Range Rover Classics, Series and Defenders up to 2014 and very occasional work on p38 Range Rovers (For very special people..... you know who you are!).
Based in Edderton, we specialise in rebuilds as well as a wide range of regular MOT and repair work. Our order book is full and we need to recruit an extra pair of hands to meet the demand.
We want to recruit a mechanic (not just a fitter) who is not afraid to get his or her hands dirty. It is an interesting and busy post which offers the successful candidate(s) the opportunity to work on complete rebuilds from galvanised chassis up, as well as general servicing and repairs for our regular customers. There may also be an opportunity to assist with M57 engine swaps into Defender TDCIs. Most of the vehicles we work on have minimal computerisation and use older fashioned technology so you will need to be handier with a spanner than a computer.
We need to recruit a mechanic who works well in a team but can also work productively on their own and use some initiative.
We are open to either full or part time for the right person/people.
The rate of pay for a successful candidate who turns out to work on time, ready for work and meets the above criteria will be mutually agreed but will reflect experience and skills and be above average rate of pay for similar positions. A sense of humour would also be a helpful characteristic.
Start date would be as soon as possible.
