Nice little recommission job I had in last week, this bike had been sat for 3 years and was asked to collect, diagnose and start, full service and MOT ready for my customer to start using again.

This has been one of those jobs 🙄, an intermittent electrical fault that stops the bike from starting.
After hours of fault finding this was pinpointed down to two faults that had signs of corrosion, first one being the bikes ignition switch and 2nd the bikes wiring loom creating a big voltage drop when cranking and not allowing the bike to start as this runs through the bikes ECU.

Last week I had in this great example (Honda VFR 1200) for a full service, head-race bearings and setting up some aftermarket handle bars that had been previously fitted.

Something different with regards to fault finding on this KTM 690 enduro that wouldn’t start.

This was down to the bikes fuel tank full of water due to its fuel cap not sealing properly as clearly shown in the last photos.
The fuel tank on these bike is at the rear so it’s not always good to fit a tail tidy as this amplified the problem.
