Another new customer who brought his Ford Ranger in for front brake discs and brake pads plus none working number plate light bulbs . He’d been quoted over £1000 for this work from a main dealer. We did it for half that price .

A Ssangyong Rodius came in for new front brake discs and pads plus rear brake pads which were seized in their carriers and 4 new glow plugs. customers own garage misdiagnosed it last time they had it in. So now he’s a regular customer of mine and he’s very happy as the jobs his previous garage didnt do are now getting done here.

A customer brought in their new to them van which they’ve had for a year and was supposedly serviced by the dealer they bought it from for me to serviced. I was shocked that the oil filter was rock solid and starting to collapse. Me thinks the supplying dealer didnt service this van at all and the state of the oil filler cap confirms my suspicions.

A Honda CRV came in for a full service that had been previously looked after by the main dealers. Don’t think it’s ever had its cabin pollen filter changed which I’m finding with more and more cars that are dealer serviced which isn’t good at all. Customer requested genuine service parts were used even though the car is well out of manufacturers warranty , so we carried out their requests.

A Mitsubishi pick up came in for a pre Mot check. Needed 2 new track rod ends and the oil dipstick tube had broken away from the mounting bracket and was flopping about and leaking. So had it welded back together and then it passed it’s annual Mot test

A Ssangyong Rexton came in with failed Towbar wiring so I had our nominated auto electrician Johnathon from Baylham Automotive Solutions come in and remove the Towbar wiring and replace it all along with the 13 pin trailer socket. He also removed the climate control panel and re soldered the circuit boards as the rear illumination of the climate control panel had stopped working.

A quick trip to Felixstowe as a this gentleman had replaced his headlight bulbs on his Transit van after one bulb blew but they wouldn’t come back on after he replaced the bulbs. Unfortunately with lots of new vehicles if a bulb blows you have to use a diagnostic machine to clear the faults in the body control unit before the bulb will re activate.
