🌟 A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING PUPILS & TEAM! 🌟

Reading through our latest batch of reviews, I just had to take a minute to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible pupils who take the time to leave us such kind, thoughtful feedback.

Seeing your confidence grow and watching you smash your tests makes every single mile worth it! 🚗💨
I also want to give a massive, well-deserved shoutout to our team of instructors: Dave, Cathy, Chris, Aron, Stuart, Jinu, James, Ewan B. and Simon!

You guys are honestly flipping fantastic! 🏆

From helping nervous learners overcome driving anxiety, to delivering top-class tuition in Welsh, turning zero-experience beginners into first-time passes, and keeping every lesson calm, supportive, and fun—you go above and beyond every single day.

I couldn't be prouder to have such a dedicated, brilliant team representing Iwan Williams Driver Training.

❤️To everyone who continues to support us & trust us with their driving journeys, and recommend us across South Wales—diolch o galon! ❤️

When life hands you a broken-down car, build yourself a new one out of cardboard! 📦🚗

Poor Cathy’s real tuition car decided to throw a wobble and go into the garage, leaving her completely gutted that she can’t teach her pupils at the moment (there’s nothing more frustrating for an instructor!).

However, timing is everything…
She had a fancy dress party to get to where the theme was "Anything beginning with the letter A".

Naturally, instead of going as an Avocado, an Astronaut, or Alice in Wonderland, she went as an Approved Driving Instructor (complete with custom number plate AD1 CLJ and an L-plate party hat)!

The good news? Her new cardboard car has zero breakdown risks, infinite MPG, and dual controls powered purely by enthusiasm.

The bad news? The clutch control is a bit stiff and it’s absolute rubbish in heavy rain 🤣☔️

Huge credit to Cathy for turning a frustrating week into comedy. She’s working hard to get her real set of wheels back on the road ASAP, but in the meantime, top marks for creative problem solving! 👏🥳

😁What a fantastic few weeks across the school! 😁

From complete beginners taking their very first drive to refreshing confidence for experienced drivers, our pupils have been smashing their goals!!

First-Lesson Magic, Conquering Nerves, and Highway Re-Confidence! 🏆🚗✨

✅Hannah – Back Behind the Wheel! 🛣️ Hannah passed her test over a decade ago but hadn’t driven for a year following a bump. Feeling nervous and apprehensive, she worked through our 3-step calm code. By the end of the lesson, she confidently drove to her boyfriend's house and around Parc Trostre in Llanelli! The very next day? She drove herself to Parkrun. Trostre is next! 🏃‍♀️💨

✅Dafydd – Taming Traffic Light Nerves! 🚦 After feeling anxious about cars waiting behind him early on, Dafydd used his calming strategies to reset. On the drive home, he executed two flawless pull-offs at busy traffic lights with total composure.
Outstanding mindset shift! 🧠👍

✅Gwenno – Bay Parking Perfection! 🅿️ Gwenno was really nervous about maneuvering and reversing next to parked cars, but she completely nailed both her forward and reverse bay parks on the first try. Total confidence boost!

✅Cathy & Lilly – Observer Success! 👥 A big thank you to Lilly for letting our instructor Cathy observe her lesson! Having an independent observer in the car is invaluable prep for test day and real-life driving—and it helps our team keep delivering top-tier coaching!

✅Elise & Kairan – First-Lesson Superstars! 🚀
Elise sat in the driver's seat for the very first time, mastered how the car works, and was thrilled to start up and drive around the car park! Kairan also crushed his first lesson, mastering moving off and stopping with wonderful clutch control and buttery-smooth braking.

✅Filip – Motorbike experience to car mastery! 🏍️➡️🚗
Filip brought his road awareness from riding motorbikes into his very first driving lesson, producing an exceptionally smooth and controlled first drive.

✅Brad – Road trip progression! 🗺️ Brad was excited to explore brand new roads this week, mastering his mirror-signal routines effortlessly ahead of every junction.

Confidence isn't about never feeling nervous—it's about having the tools to handle it when you do!

😁😁Huge Congratulations to these 2 today 😁😁

👌Massive WELL DONE to Audrey, who had a FAULTLESS test this morning. Mike the examiner commented that it was refreshing to have someone get up to 70mph and actually overtake other cars on the way to Baglan! 💪👏

👏Huge congratulations to Ella from Glyneath for passing first time with only 2 driving faults 😁👏👏 Extra kudos for deciding back in August that she wouldn’t be ready for her early September test and putting it back 4 weeks to get some extra time in behind the wheel. Going into a test feeling confident can make all the difference, well done Ella 👏👏👏

If the thought of busy dual carriageways or multi-lane roundabouts stresses you out, don't worry!

✅We never rush you into complex traffic situations before you are ready. We introduce challenging road layouts gradually, breaking them down step-by-step until you feel completely comfortable.

✅Learning to drive should be an empowering experience, not a nerve-wracking one. We offer supportive, professional coaching tailored to your needs 😁

😬 Another week & another pile of test pass photos that I completely forgot to post… 🤦‍♂️

If I managed my diary the way I manage my social media, half of Swansea, Neath, and Llanelli would still be waiting for their first lesson from 2006.

The good news? Our pupils are absolute stars and keep passing their driving tests. The bad news? I have the memory of a goldfish and keep forgetting to take—or post—the actual photos.

I’m great at teaching parallel parks, lane discipline, and mock tests. Remembering to hit "upload" before the candidate draws their pension? Apparently, that requires an advanced qualification I haven't completed yet.

😁So, a massive Congratulations to Vincent, Hisham, Areeb, and Saranya on passing their tests!

👌You guys were absolute legends, and your pass photos were safely stored on my phone—right next to 4,000 photos of my dog!!
