As part of our Centenary year, we're celebrating the people who have helped shape the success of Day's Rental. Few have had a greater impact than our Managing Director, Mike McCarry.

Mike joined the Day's business in July 1986 as a Ford Sales Executive before becoming the first Sales Executive for Day's Contract Hire in 1995. Working alongside Richard Baker, he helped build the foundations of what would become the successful fleet and rental operation we know today.

In 1999, Mike became General Manager of Day's Rental, overseeing a fleet of around 1,000 vehicles. He joined the Board of Directors in 2009 and, in 2016, was appointed Managing Director.

Under Mike's leadership, Day's Rental has grown into one of the UK's leading independent vehicle hire companies. Today, we operate from 15 locations across the UK, employ more than 200 colleagues, and manage a fleet of approximately 10,000 vehicles, supporting businesses, public sector organisations and customers nationwide.

This growth has been driven by a commitment to outstanding customer service, investment in innovation, sustainability, and building long-term partnerships that continue to strengthen our business.

As we celebrate 100 years of Day's, we're proud to recognise Mike's outstanding contribution. Nearly four decades of dedication, leadership and vision have helped shape where Day's Rental is today and where we're heading in the future.
