It was an absolute pleasure to sponsor prizes for this event and it was brilliant to see all the kids out racing. Definitely some future champions in that fleet.

On the 19th and 20th of September, I was one of over 25 Topper sailors who took part in the south-west Topper traveller open meeting at Swanage Sailing Club. I was really excited to take part in this event as Swanage is my home club.

Last year we came up with a better way of making a padded toestrap by using upcycled neoprene from dead wetsuits.

Rather than using endless rolls new foam, we made contact with various outdoor activities centres asking rather than throw their torn and broken wetsuits away at the tip, if we could have them instead. So far we've saved 9 sacks of wetsuits from landfill. It might not sound like much, but it's a start.

Dropping all these off to Sandbanks tomorrow to a range of windsurfers and a kitesurfer, and collecting the next ones to be repaired.

It's always good fun to pop down to sandbanks when it's windy and take some photos of the kitesurfing action.

We also seem to be getting more and more popular as the go-to place for kite repairs which we didn't predict when Casca was started. It's been great to meet and chat to a whole range of people dropping their equipment off with us.

Had some fun making a polyester tape-drive mirror jib. Only a first prototype but lots of notes for the second version.
