Huge congratulations to Diana who PASSED FIRST TIME today with only a few driving faults! 👏

Why is this pass so special for us?

Diana came to us as an extremely nervous learner. Just before her test, the self-doubt kicked in.

Her husband messaged: "She needs more practice. Can you come earlier?"
Diana said: "I need more practice."

🎉 LOVELY PASS FOR NINA! 🎉

A fantastic result today at Blyth for Nina with our brilliant instructor Mandy!

Nina passed with just 1 minor right at the very end - so close to a perfect clean sheet! 👏

She works in quite remote areas where public transport can be unreliable, so getting her licence was a huge focus for her. This pass is going to make family life so much easier too, especially with the summer holidays coming up! ☀️

So well deserved Nina - you worked so hard for this. Enjoy every minute of that freedom!

A massive well done to Sarah from Pattersons Driving School who has just QUALIFIED as a fully fledged ADI! 🎉

Sarah qualified using the training of our very own Stu Cavanagh. Stu trains ADI's and PDI's from other schools as well as our own, and we're so proud to have been part of Sarah's journey.

🎉 DOUBLE TROUBLE - THE SISTERS HAVE DONE IT!! 🎉

A MASSIVE Congratulations to Hau Mitt who PASSED her driving test this morning!! 👏👏👏

That's right - sister of Ly Le who passed with us LAST WEEK! Two sisters, two passes in one week for the Only Automatic family! What a result!

Hau is a super busy mum of 2 young kids and manager of a nail shop, so this means EVERYTHING. No more being stuck just in Sunderland on her days off - hello FREEDOM!

She can finally get the kids out and about and enjoy her time off properly.

Her ADI Tony and all the team at Only Automatic Driving School are absolutely buzzing for you Hau - you have worked so hard for this and totally smashed it!

🎉 PASS ALERT!! Huge Congratulations to Scarlett from Washington!! 🎉

Second attempt - SMASHED IT with only 2 driver faults!! 👏👏

Scarlett can now finally visit her friend up in Scotland and travel to work on her own in her own car - no more needing anyone to go with her! Total freedom!

What a pleasure she has been to teach. Scarlett has worked SO hard against many challenges and she has overcome every single one of them. Today says it all about her determination.

Her wonderful ADI Kevin and all the team at Only Automatic Driving School are hugely proud of you Scarlett - so well deserved! 👍👍👍

Go Bananas! 🍌🎉 FIRST TIME PASS!

Like most teenagers, Liv is a big fan of TikTok, so when her favourite creators suggested eating a banana before your driving test is good luck... she took it literally and ate a BUNCH for breakfast! 😂

And despite the risk of chronic flatulence and the odd tarantula wandering over the dashboard, it worked!

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Liv who passed her test at the FIRST attempt this afternoon with ADI Ian, with only a couple of driving faults. Top banana! 👏

Liv, a super talented dance teacher from Boldon, has gone from start to finish in just over four months. She chasséd through junctions with ease, pirouetted around roundabouts gracefully, and triple salchowed into parking bays perfectly. (Yes, I know that's the wrong sport, but you try coming up with more dancing terms without spending all day on Google!)

It makes today even more special - Liv wanted to pass before her 20th birthday on Friday when she finally says goodbye to her teenage years. She'll no doubt be buying a bag of Werther's Originals for the glove-box of her new car!

🎉 ANOTHER AMAZING 1ST TIME PASS THIS MORNING! 🎉

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Mr Nangialai Rahimi who passed his test this morning in Sunderland with ADI Rabia - 1st attempt with only 1 minor fault! 👏🚗

What makes this pass so special...

Nangialai is a cycle mechanic and runs a cycle shop in town. He'd been dropped by a few other companies and had to change his test date a few times because his nerves were getting the better of him.

He came to us and with ONLY 5 LESSONS with Only Automatic he smashed it!

His own words: "Other people shout at me and you didn't. You just talked to me calmly about my faults and made my driving more comfortable."

Ahmed proudly represents his country as an open water swimmer and has taken on some INCREDIBLE challenges, including the legendary Capri-Napoli marathon swim and the English Channel! 🏊‍♂️🌊

Today, he took on a completely different challenge... one of Sunderland's newest driving test routes... and absolutely NAILED IT with just 2 driving faults! An amazing result! 👏👏

Talk about timing... test day was the SAME day as her daughter's graduation from Newcastle University AND the school run! 😅 But she kept her cool and got the job done. All good in the end!

Two driving faults and a massive test pass! 🥳🎉

Huge congratulations to our student who absolutely smashed their Thursday 8:00 AM driving test in some beautiful, glorious sunny weather! ☀️
Driving tests can be stressful, but this drive was a masterclass in staying calm under pressure.🛣️

The Test Route Breakdown
The examiner took a fantastic route that tested a bit of everything:
Started fresh at the driving test centre 🚗
Headed out towards Brunswick Road
Navigated across the busy Downhill Lane Interchange heading towards Washington 🌲
Returned along a very busy, high-intensity A1231
Crossed the Hylton Lane Interchange like a total pro 🔄
Finished with a forward bay park into a space at the Lidl car park right at the end! 🛒📝
The Minor Faults (Real-Life Learning!)
Nobody is perfect, and you only need to safely manage the car to pass!
Our student picked up just two minor driving faults:
An Amber Light Junction: Going through an amber light just before it transitioned to red. A tight judgment call, but handled safely!
A Reversing Adjustment: Making a quick, smart steering correction during the bay park exercise. Remember, you are allowed to adjust your position to get it right!📺
