Toyota MR2 Mk2 rust is very common issue.

The factory foam sponge inside the rear wheel arches and near the end of the side sill absorbs water and dirt, then traps moisture for a long time. As a result:

* the end of the sill starts to rust,
* the inner wheel arch rots,
* corrosion develops from the inside out and often stays hidden for a long time,
* paint bubbles usually appear only after the metal has already become thin.
