Drive TV School of Motoring Drive TV offers lessons to new learners, refreshers and sessions on specific areas of driving on request.

There is also the option to train as an Instructor with me. Please contact me to discuss requirements and availability. I am a qualified ADI who is passionate about developing safe drivers (I am a partner of The Honest Truth - a program which aims to educate new drivers on aspects of driving safety). I have a strong coaching ethos and believe that learning should be tailored to the individual as we are all different. Anyone is welcome to train with Drive TV but I do have a positive reputation particularly with those who suffer with nerves and/or anxiety. I also have experience with Dyslexia/Dyspraxia and Autism (as an instructor but also from my teaching background). It is important to me as a professional in my field, that you get value for money, lead your lessons wherever possible and have fun along the way. To give you the best, I undergo regular CPD and training to update my skills and knowledge as well as the compulsory Standards Check we as ADIs have to take. I am pleased to say that I have completed training to enable me to train new instructors via Tri-Coaching Partnership and continue to work with them to upskill (get in touch for a chat or visit my sister page Drive TV Instructor Training). 2 passes this week…

Henri came to me for help with his test looming and change of circumstances with his instructor. Mum and dad had done a fantastic job working with him to ensure he was safe on the roads, which left me time to tidy up a few things, address some misconceptions, fill some knowledge gaps, build on his growing confidence and work on the higher levels of goals for driver education (GDE).
News came in earlier in the week that he’d been successful in his test.

Alun (who wrote this review), had been doing lots of practice in his car and felt comfortable in it and so decided he’d rather take his test independently. We spent a good amount of time building his driving skills and confidence. He’s a naturally analytical and evaluative person which made for some great lessons with lots of progress. I didn’t doubt he would be successful, and only received one small driver fault - Fantastic result 🤩

Roundabouts seem to cause countless problems to road users (not just learners) regardless of an impending interaction with an emergency vehicle.

I would advise any driver to revisit their knowledge and understanding of how to use a roundabout and specifically taking note of when to use a signal and which ones are needed, but also looking at their lane choice in conjunction with road signs and paint.
If everyone just paid a little more attention to how their behaviour affected other people around them, maybe our interactions would be more positive 🤔

Yesterday smart motorway… most of my learners will not have encountered, specifically when driving, but this is a more common situation to be in… think safe but not illegal (yesterday we encountered a van driver coming towards us and he went up onto the kerb almost beside us. The oncoming cars appeared to yield. Slightly confused, we started to move as nothing behind us but then realised all the action was due to an ambulance coming from behind with no sirens. We hadn’t initially seen him as he was in a blind spot in the traffic.
The van did not need to drive on the pavement… there was ample space, but he did helpfully alert us to the ambulance)
Think how your body language and behaviour affects other road users and keep your eyes and ears open 😉
