Mild restoration and some custom bits on this Classic Mini. This 'Equinox' model is a reasonably rare limited edition, with a lovely purple/blue flip paint.

🟣 Remove all glass
🟣 Cut out rust around the rear roof area, fabricate repair panels and weld in.
🟣 Fabricate and weld in stand-off brackets for bonnet pins.
🟣 Let bonnet pins into new fibreglass bonnet.
🟣 Cut front arches for clearance.
🟣 Re-profile & fit wide-arches to all four corners.
🟣 Multiple body repairs to get shell straight.
🟣 Paint all exterior bodywork, bonnet pins, mirrors, seam covers, wheel arches etc in a fresh coat of Equinox purple.
🟣 Refit glass with new seals.

It's not all restorations and colour changes. Here's a MK2 Scirocco we had in for a couple of dents that had signs ofsurface corrosion. Local repair required, nothing too fancy! Rust removed, dents pulled, thin skim of filler and some paint, back to daily duties 🫡

Remember when it was sub 30 degrees??

November '25 was busy...

- MK2 golf engine bay paintwork.
- Sausage dog, very good.
- E36 touring project taking shape.
- New Alfa 159 saloon to replace old 159 sport wagon. Parked up in the queue for the workshop as it's an Alfa. Briefly became a 159 collector until Copart along!
- Classic Mini Equinox mild resto coming along nicely.
- 9n3 Polo GTI track car in for the treatment.
- Evo 1 RS with a roof tent is a strong look.
- Audi A6 in for some repairs/paint including a cheeky diamond-cut and clearcoat on the Rotor wheels.
- Mk2 Golf bonnet repair/paint.

Ben's show car Spec-R S15 that we did a while back. Loads of work on this one...

✅ Body repairs all round.
✅ Panels & trim off, wheels off, glass-out, full repaint in original colour (including inside of panels).
✅ Rear bumper spats profiled to fit, painted and fitted.
✅ Brand new genuine spare bootlid de-locked and painted.
✅ Honda Integra splitter re-profiled, painted & fitted to front bumper.
✅ Front bumper numberplate mount holes smoothed.
✅ Headlights restored.
✅ Clear-coat blocked down for arrow-straight show finish.

Ben deserves some serious credit for the time and money he has lavished on this car since he has taken ownership, must be one of the best late S-chassis cars in the country. There's some really cool touches on this build, tbh it's almost too nice to drive! 😅 Yes, it's a sideways car on air. BUT; it's one of only two in the country in this spec/colour so it would be silly to turn this one into a drift car, right?! 😅👍🏻

October '25...

✅ Classic Mini repairs and repaint escalated, now featuring arch extensions and fibreglass bonnet with bonnet pins. Some cutting and fabrication required! Repairs complete, in primer.
✅ Loads of sets of wheels this month, here's a selection. 208 GTI, Clio V6 and MSports.
✅ Saab 9000 back in for sill cover refurb, now looking factory fresh.
✅ Audi A1 complete front end repairs done.
✅ Rover 75 V6 repairs/paint complete.
✅ Very bent VW Polo sill pulled back into shape!

Another busy month, September '25...

✅ E36 touring front end coming along well, started painting bits.
✅ Little custom job removing holes from a Defender grille surround.
✅ Saab 9000 front end finished.
✅ Mk7 Golf repairs/paint. Sausage dog bonus content.
✅ Daily Alfa 159 becomes home for the evening.
✅ VW Caddy long-term project now at spray-filler stage.
✅ Classic Mini repairs underway.
✅ Rover 75 V6 in for a load of repairs/paint.
✅ Panels EVERYWHERE!
✅ Audi A1 full front end replacement underway.

August '25 was a busy one, managed to squeeze all of this in along with a holiday...

✅ DB11 repair/paint.
✅ Ridiculous amount of cutting/welding on this 2CV.
✅ Roof Tent added to Alfa 159 daily.
✅ Maxton kit fitting and a bit more paintwork on the longest Audi.
✅ Mk3 Golf Retro Rides prep.
✅ A day out at Prescott Hill Climb for Retro Rides Gathering.
✅ E36 touring stripped back down ready for engine bay repairs.
✅ Saab 9000 bonnet/front bumper repairs underway.
✅ Chop Shop's T4 van still broken (since December), needs fixing!!
✅ Next big project arrives (Classic Mini), ready for repairs & full repaint.
