In 1982, Mr Hough ordered a brand new 500SL, every optional extra, and never registered it. Never drove it. Just kept it, obsessively and perfectly, in a heated garage in Staffordshire for forty years. When it came to us, we kept the promise he started.

You already know about our 42 Mile R107. Our mascot. The one that stopped the internet.

In 1982, Mr Hough ordered a brand new 500SL, every optional extra, and never registered it. Never drove it. Just kept it, obsessively and perfectly, in a heated garage in Staffordshire for forty years. Not a scratch. Not a blemish. A time capsule, sealed at the moment of delivery.

When it came to us, we kept the promise he started. Untouched, exactly as it left the factory. But yesterday it made its first real journey in a long time. For the next four to five weeks, the 42 Mile 500SL is on display at Duke of London proudly located on The Brentford Riviera, and we think it deserves to be seen.
