Congratulations to Sophie for passing her driving test first time today with just the 3 driving faults.

It’s been a pleasure to teach you and watch you become a strong independent driver. Confidence comes with experience and you won’t ever really stop learning full licence or provisional licence.

Congratulations to Paige on passing her driving test first time. For someone who lacks confidence when it comes to tests you would never have thought it with her test day drive.

Watching you go from being nervous driving around the estates early days to overtaking and making progress on a dual carriageway like a driver with years of experience it’s been great to see that confidence grow. I think you’re a fantastic example aswell of how much knowledge about the road can make learning to drive easier.

Pass 10/10 for the year and a debut pass for the new car 🥳 congratulations to Tom for steering home a very professional drive, proof to show that it doesn’t matter if you stall only if you can correct it and still move away efficiently afterwards. Good luck out driving on your own and stay safe 🚗

Just a reminder for all my learners and any that may benefit. Please no longer attempt to book your test through any app (TestShift/Testi, etc) the DVSA are flagging all apps and suspending all tests found to be booked through any external site that isn’t the .gov website.

If you do book through the apps you risk having your test cancelled or being suspended from booking for a period of time. In the last month DVSA have taken action against over 3,000 bookings.

Please only book through the government site

Driving Test Changes:

From the 31st March 2026:

Tests can only be changed a maximum of 2 times down from the original 6

From the 12th May 2026:

No one other than learner drivers will lawfully be able to book or manage a car driving test. This will mean all cancellation apps and other services that book on behalf of pupils will be made useless and should not be used at risk of breach and losing out on money.

A learner declaration will be introduced when booking a test to confirm that the person booking will be taking the test and there will be a new set of terms and conditions to be agreed to.

From the 9th June 2026:

Tests will only be able to be moved to your 3 nearest test centres to where the original test has been booked.
