Sometimes jobs just come to you. Walking out of Tesco's I was summoned over to a Mercedes by a lovely lady. She had spotted the van and wanted some advice. Their Mercedes was suffering with the usual fake leather (Artico) failings.
They had already had the driver's seat base replaced with a genuine cover at considerable expense. The driver's seat backrest and the passenger seat base had also now started to split.
I explained we don't repair Mercedes Artico. It's terrible. It's false economy. You repair one bit it fails elsewhere. You just end up paying for the same thing over and over again.
I offered them our options.
1. Front seats made with full 100% leather to match the rears.
2. Full 100% leather colour of their choice to include all seats and doors or just seats.
They settled down the middle. Seats only in light grey 100% leather.
