Chris's kids popped in and decided the MOT viewing window was the perfect place to keep an eye on Daddy and the lads. 😂

Not sure what they were looking for… but we're assuming they were checking everything was being done properly! 🔧🚗

A little change to our opening hours this Thursday!

The lads are absolutely melting in the workshop 🥵 so we’re changing our hours slightly on Thursday to help everyone cope with the heat.

Hopefully, this is the last big one of the year!

And, as always, our air con machines are plugged in and ready to go ❄️🚗 if your air con needs a top-up, just drop in, book online or give us a call!

We’ll also have plenty of cold drinks on hand for anyone waiting with their cars.

🎉 A Great Day at Bromsgrove Carnival! 🚗🇬🇧

On Saturday, our Director, Chris, had the pleasure of driving one of our customers' stunning Ford Mustang in the Bromsgrove Carnival parade, alongside another of our regular customers, Paul, in his incredible custom hot rod.

The biggest stars of the day, though, were definitely the kids! They loved sitting up front, waving to everyone lining the streets, and every time Dad gave the Mustang a little rev, the cheers and smiles got even bigger! 😄

It was fantastic to see so many people out supporting such a brilliant community event. While Bromsgrove isn't on our doorstep, we were proud to play a small part in a day that helps raise money for so many fantastic local charities and community groups.

A huge thank you to the organisers for putting on another brilliant event, and to everyone who came along to support it.

We love being part of events that bring communities together. ❤️

☀️ Heatwave Update: Temporary Hours

To all our valued customers,

The lads in our workshops have absolutely soldered on and worked their socks off the best they can in this heat, but with temperatures set to increase even further over the next few days, we’ve made the decision to alter our opening hours once again.

As always, our team's health, safety, and well-being is our absolute top priority. To keep everyone safe and out of the peak afternoon temperatures, we are shifting our schedule so they can get the work done in the cooler morning hours.

🚗 Never a Day Off for a Mechanic...! 🛠️

We were having a lovely day out enjoying the sunshine in the beautiful Cotswolds, when Chris spotted a gentleman at the side of the road, looking understandably stressed and struggling in the heat with a broken-down car.

Now, if you know Chris, you know he absolutely couldn't just drive past and leave him stranded! He swung right back around to see if he could lend a hand.

Unfortunately, we couldn't get him back on the road this time—it turned out to be a failed prop shaft joint, which Chris couldn't quite manage without his trusty tools (which he doesn't carry with him on a day out, unfortunately!! 😅).

However, we made sure he was looked after immediately! We got him out of the peak heat, kept him cool, and gave him a bottle of water while we waited with him for the AA to arrive.

You can take the mechanic out of the garage but you can't switch him off! 👨🏽‍🔧

(Ps. I really must apologise for the absolutely awful camera skills! 🤣📸)

⚡We had a hybrid in the workshop this week with the battery light glaring on the dash and absolutely zero charge coming from the alternator.

Now, hybrids do things a bit differently. The alternator doesn't just run constantly; it has to be "told" to charge. Our diagnostics showed that the brains behind this, the DC-to-DC converter, was completely silent and wasn't requesting that charge.

The problem was, that converter is buried deep inside the high-voltage battery pack.

So, Chris isolated the system, dropped the heavy-voltage battery pack out of the car, and stripped it down to get access. While we had it completely opened up, we didn’t just fix the fault; we did a full health check on every single internal component to make sure there weren’t any other nasty surprises waiting to pop up down the road.

Battery rebuilt, car reassembled, and a full test shows a perfectly healthy voltage running back into the 12v battery again.

Hybrid or electric, petrol or diesel—the tech is changing fast, but we’ve invested heavily in the training and tools to make sure your car is always in safe hands.
