BORED OF THE ORDINARY? 🤔

Pop-tops and roof tents have become the standard in the leisure industry — but they both come with compromises. Pop-tops limit creativity and usable space, while roof tents can feel awkward and impractical for holidays.

At TOPO Leisure, we’ve reimagined what’s possible. Our integrated roof tent system is a genuine game-changer, combining the best of both worlds in one seamless design.

✔ Vaulted height – no more crouching; enjoy a true sense of space with elevated headroom.

✔ More room, more comfort – generous sleeping capacity and a spacious feel inside your vehicle.

✔ Smart design – dual-side access and a fold-out section that doubles as a free-standing awning.

✔ Customisable comfort – optional insulated lining and bespoke zip-in awnings for privacy and warmth.

✔ Great looks, practical use – sleek design that enhances your van’s appearance and everyday functionality.

Whether you want us to retrofit your existing roof tent into a tailored system, or supply and install a bespoke TOPO Leisure integrated roof tent to your new campervan.....

Serious Off-Grid Power Upgrade 🔋⚡
Big upgrades on this campervan this week — we installed a full off-grid setup featuring a 3000W Renogy inverter, powered by a 628Ah Fogstar Drift lithium battery and charger.

The customer had been struggling with battery life from their 2 x 110Ah leisure batteries, so we upgraded them to a system built for real energy independence and reliability.

We also fitted 230V outlets in the living area and kitchen, giving them the flexibility to run everyday appliances like a microwave and CPAP sleep device — no hook-up required.

They were over the moon with the freedom it's given them — and how the van is now tailored perfectly to their needs ✅

Thinking of going off-grid?
📲 Get in touch and we’ll help guide you to the right setup for your van and travel style.

Back to It on Monday — Air Con & Awning Installs ❄️🌤️
After a well-earned weekend reset, Monday kicked off with two solid upgrades:

✔️ Truma Aventa Compact air conditioning install on a motorhome
✔️ Fiamma F43 awning installation on a VW T6

Both are fantastic additions for any leisure vehicle — boosting comfort and usability all year round.

The Truma Aventa Compact is a slimline, efficient roof-mounted unit designed for campervans and motorhomes with limited roof space. Despite its compact size, it delivers powerful cooling, is quiet in operation, and can even dehumidify — ideal for hot summer trips or sticky weather.

Alde Heating System – Coolant Change & Repair 🔧🔥
This customer had issues with their Alde heating system not getting hot, so we carried out full diagnostic checks.

After testing the wiring and talking through the symptoms, it became clear the circulation pump was at fault. We also checked the antifreeze condition and found it was past its recommended service life.

👉 Alde advises coolant is changed every 2 years (pink G12) or 5 years (purple G13) to maintain performance and protect the system from corrosion and freezing.

We ordered the replacement parts and rebooked the job for a full coolant flush and refill.
As you can see, it’s a careful process — and it’s important to protect soft furnishings and surfaces throughout the van during the work.

✅ Another successful swap-over and a fully functioning Alde system ready for the colder months ahead.

If your Alde system isn’t performing or your coolant is due,
📲 Get in touch to book a full system check or fluid change.

Fridge Repair & Habitation on an Adria Adora ❄️🛠️
Visited this lovely Adria Adora for a full habitation service and to replace a Thetford fridge control board that had failed.

This customer gets a habitation check every year but made the switch to Topo Leisure after a friend’s recommendation — and we’re glad they did!

During the damp check, we found the early signs of water ingress. Fortunately, we caught it in time and were able to stop it with minimal rectification work.
🛑 Catching damp early can save hundreds in repairs later — left unchecked, it quickly spreads and damages structural panels and interior fittings.

We’ve also got them rebooked for:
✔️ Alde heating coolant change
✔️ New battery locker door
✔️ Replacement window stays
✔️ New brake drums and shoes — the old shoes had worn unevenly and were damaging the drums

If your vehicle is due a habitation or you’re unsure about anything,
📲 Get in touch to get booked in — all work completed at your location with full AWS-backed documentation.

Habitation Rework on a 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 🚐🛠️
Carried out a habitation check on this recently converted 2022 Mercedes Sprinter — a build completed just over a year ago by a professional conversion company.

Despite the tidy finish, it was clear this conversion didn’t meet basic safety standards.
❌ No drop-out vents for gas
❌ Inadequate ventilation
❌ Failed gas tightness test — with three separate leaks found once traced
- just to name a few of the faults found on their Habitation.

This highlights exactly why a habitation check is so important — it’s not just a tick-box service. It's a detailed inspection of gas, electrics, water systems, ventilation, damp, and fire safety — ensuring your van is safe to use and meets regulatory standards. Especially crucial if you’ve bought a new conversion or recently had work done.

If you have any doubts about your campervan, motorhome or caravan,
📲 Book your AWS-backed habitation check with us today — done at your location with full paperwork for your service history.

Fiamma F43 Awning Upgrade on a VW T6 🖤🌦️
Dropped by to upgrade this VW T6 Transporter with a sleek new Fiamma F43 awning in black — a perfect addition for extra shade and shelter on the go.

The customer already had a Vamoose awning rail, so we used compatible Fiamma brackets designed to integrate with that system. However, these required modification to fit the new F43 model.

This type of install involves drilling and using rivet (Tic) nuts to secure the brackets, so precise placement and proper sealing is crucial for a long-lasting, weatherproof fit ✅

Dropped by today to fit custom-sized, Van-X blackout curtains for this Nissan Elgrand campervan conversion. The customer was over the moon with how quickly and easily it improved his nighttime routine!

While there, he also shared concerns about the pop top roof leaking water. We gave the tent canvas a much-needed waterproofing treatment to keep things dry and worry-free.
