JOB VACANCY
Autoparts (Stornoway) Ltd are looking to add to our established team. With this, we currently have a ‘Counter Sales Person’ position (full-time/part-time negotiable) available within our busy parts and accessories motor factor store located in Stornoway.

The position requires a responsible and competent person who works well on their own and also as part of an efficient and dynamic team.

Good knowledge and experience with vehicles can be beneficial but training will be provided for the role. A full clean driving license and a good telephone manner are essential as is a positive attitude in dealing with customers. Good experience and knowledge of operating a computer is essential.

Main duties include:
Dealing with retail and trade customers, booking stock in, stock taking, stock returns, liaising with suppliers, ordering stock and customer deliveries.
The job involves some lifting and also Saturday working on a rota basis.

AUTOPARTS CLOSED FOR AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY

Just to let you all know that AUTOPARTS will be closed on Monday 3rd August for the public holiday with normal service resuming on Tuesday morning.

Please note we are open as normal tomorrow (Saturday 1st August) 9am to 1pm.

We recently attended the Alliance Automotive Group ‘Annual Spring Conference 2026’ which was held this year in Marbella. Always a great opportunity to meet with key suppliers with which we have longstanding relationships but also to meet with new suppliers and potential exciting new opportunities to offer our garage & trade customers throughout the Western Isles.

At the Gala Dinner we got a lovely surprise when Autoparts received a National Award (UK & Ireland) for ‘LV Member of the Year 2025 in the ’Highly Commended’ category. An amazing achievement for an independent motor factor based in Stornoway and we are absolutely delighted to have won it. A massive thank you goes to our wonderful customers and of course our fantastic staff, without you this recognition would not be possible. 😀

Not long to go for the annual Autoparts Stornoway Half Marathon 10K & Mini- Marathon! We are delighted to be a long standing sponsor for this fantastic event and well done to the organisers and participants for once again making it a sell out!!! 🙂The winners shield for the 1st male/female in both the Half Marathon and 10K races are currently being displayed in the shop along with this year’s t-shirt!! Good luck to everyone taking part!!👍

Fantastic to have had Autoperfekt UK up on the island this week. Calum was extremely busy all week visiting customers all over the island and upskilling Autoparts staff. We wish him a safe trip back down the road and we very much look forward to him coming back up soon!! 🙂👍
