I know we don’t post much, but we thought this one was worth the time !

Customer brought his 2017 Transit Custom in with poor braking efficiency.
Upon closer inspection we found the Wet Belt (Timing belt in oil) was delaminating and pieces of rubber were entering the oil system. The rubber contaminants then blocked the oil flow to the vacuum pump causing it to fail (poor brake performance)
We made the customer aware that this failure was actually covered under a manufacturers recall and he would be able to have it repaired by them at no cost. However the wait times for bookings were 8 weeks, so he opted to have it repaired by us to save vehicle hire costs.

Yesterday we were tasked with the activation of Cruise Control on a Ford Fiesta Mk8.

Once the correct steering wheel switch was Installed, we had multi module re-configuration to perform… then Voila 😎

Retrofitted Factory Cruise Control ✅
Adjustable Speed Limiting ✅

The results are great and costs very low compared to some of the other Cruise Installs we perform every other week.

COVID19 Update 23rd March 2020

We have been closely following all developments and guidance regarding COVID19.
We remain open and will attempt to operate as normal as possible. One of our main suppliers has today announced they will close Wednesday 25th March until further notice, this will undoubtedly disrupt our service, particularly for those providing important services during this time. Where possible we will replenish our normal stock and order anything required to fulfill any current bookings (where possible).

In order to remain open, look after the health of customers and ourselves, we have decided to implement some small measures...
We ask that all enquiries are made via telephone/email in the first instance.
Waiting on repairs is no longer available. Please arrange to leave the vehicle and return on completion.
All Invoicing will be sent digitally via email.
On completion of works, we will wipe down all interior touch points using suitable disposable products.

If you do feel any symptoms, we kindly ask you reschedule your booking.

We will provide further updates in due course.

The Disec Magnetic Lock for Transit Custom...

As Security has never been more important on Transits and Hundreds being stolen or broken into daily... We bring a new lock to the table !
The Disec Lock is made of Tungsten Carbide 💪
It has no Key-way so unlike a 'Hykee' it has no Center point for Drilling or Picking the lock.
The 'Key' is Magnetic and uses a unique structure where only the correct 'key' will turn the lock 🧲

Kits are supplied with 2 Magnetic Keys, Additional ones can be added at purchase or afterwards. Replacements are available with the Security Code that is provided on purchase.
Kits can be supplied Fitted or Parts Only.

We would like to finally announce the news that our workshop will be relocating over the next couple of weeks.
Circumstances have dictated that we had to relocate with minimal notice, however we're delighted to report the move will bring more space, a fully secure private yard and better transport links for most customers.
We will be operating a limited service over the next week or two while equipment and tooling is moved. Our telephone numbers will remain unchanged and we will be reachable as normal.
We will announce the full details very shortly and look forward to posting some pictures as we transform the space into a functioning workshop.

📞A Note to all Customers📞
Anyone calling the workshop on Monday 12th August may experience difficulty reaching us, as our phone system is swapped onto a new service.
Our Workshop number will remain unchanged and the new system will allow us to Answer and Track calls outside of the workshop.
We look forward to ditching the traditional landline !

On a mobile Mission today for a Dutch Security Company, Repairing an observation unit on a Wind Farm. The Unit For Observation (UFO) housed in a small container, has a camera mast, PIR sensors, Alarm, generator, solar panels and a high end PTZ camera, all controlled remotely through the mobile data network.
A neat idea for use in remote locations.

Once it was all fixed, we had to give way to the all locals before we could leave the site !
