📣 Important Announcement from S.A.B Garage Services, Stonehaven

After a great deal of thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to close the garage side of S.A.B Garage Services. This hasn’t been an easy choice, and it’s one that has taken a considerable amount of time to reach. Unfortunately, ongoing staffing challenges and the continued growth of other areas of the business mean there will no longer be the time needed to run the garage to the standard our customers deserve.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of my customers over the last few years for your loyalty and support. It’s been genuinely appreciated.

As many of you know, the car recovery side of the business has become extremely busy, and moving forward, I don’t feel we would be able to provide the level of customer service that our garage customers rightly expect. For that reason, we believe closing the garage is the most responsible step.

Please this is a post that isn't not going to be easy to do.
PLEASE READ ALL

Use us or lose us!

We are at the point that we now have to say is if we are not going to be getting used then the doors will be closed. We are at the point now where we are that quite we are struggling to see why we should keep the doors open.

For the last month we have had a hand full of jobs coming through our doors. We have gone from being busy weeks in advance to having many spaces each day.

As harsh as the words are if it still carries on like this over the next couple of weeks, we will have to sit down and make a decision if it is going to be worth us keeping the doors open.

*Time 1.23am 28/04/25*

We don't usually post this late however we have come across a issue which has now stopped us from accessing our building which we require 24 hour access to for breakdown side of business.

This is due to a customer dropping a car off out of hours which in itself is fine. However they have parked it right in front of our roller door and not left a key to enable us to move it and this has lead to us being unable to get our breakdown truck out of the unit to carry out breakdowns during the night one of which I was called out too and unable to complete. This is now a massive inconvenience and will now lead to us running massively behind during the day tomorrow now.

Due to this we will no longer be accepting customer car drop off out of hours all drop off us will have to be made working hours 9-5 Monday to Fridays ( 4pm on Fridays ).

Please this week we are a little understaffed. As of this we will not be able to offer the pick up and return service that we offer in Stonehaven. We are unsure when this will be able to resume.

Also with any discount that is offered, the person who has booked has to have the card showed in their own name, not a friends or a family members. This is stated on previous post!

It's been busy busy.

Please remember that we are still open and ready for you enquiries. please if you don't get us on the phones 01569 214114 just pop a message tot he page it will be picked up there.

At the moment our receptionist is only working 2/3 days due to personal reasons. They have been helping as much as they can in the evening with invoices ect.

So we still have the bonnet out side our unit if we are open so that our customers who are not sure where we are and find us. We has a customer in last week who seen the bonnet and didn't really like it and come back to us with this one below. This one will be fitted to our unit door, we just haven't got round to doing it as of yet. This one stands out a little better and is better seen than the bonnet at the door. 🤞
