From Stone you have several choices of routes, for an energetic week you can do the Four Counties Ring visiting Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and the Midlands. Or an easier week

the Cauldon which offers lift bridges, tunnels, a river, steam engines and the churnet valley. 10 days the Cheshire Ring Manchester and the Anderton Boat lift. 2 weeks the Llangollen, Wales and the famous Aquaduct, naming but a few, each offering slightly different aspects of boating. Not forgetting those 3 or 4 day shortbreaks to re charge the batteries, traveling south to Great Haywood and Shugborough Hall or North and the Potteries. 🐢 Slow down when passing other boats, anglers and moored boats.
➡️ Keep to the right where appropriate.
🌿 Respect the beautiful environment around you.
👋 And most importantly… be friendly! A smile or wave is all part of the canal experience.

🚤 Stone is standing up for its High Street! 🚤

Did you catch the national news coverage this morning? The campaign calling for 2 hours of free parking in Stone has now reached over 1,000 signatures – and the support continues to grow! 👏

At Stone Canal Cruising, we're proud to support this campaign. Stone's canals, High Street and independent businesses are all part of what makes our town such a fantastic place to visit. Easier parking would encourage more people to explore everything Stone has to offer, whether they're joining us on the water, browsing our independent shops, or enjoying our cafés, pubs and restaurants.

Our local businesses continue to face increasing pressures from rising costs, including rent, National Insurance contributions and business rates. Introducing 2 hours of free parking at Christchurch Way and Crown Street car parks would make it easier for visitors to spend time in Stone, supporting local businesses and helping our town continue to thrive.

Every signature sends a clear message that we value our High Street and want to see it flourish for years to come.

Even on holiday, the unexpected can happen. This time it was Angela (the boat! 😄), which needed some new leisure batteries.

After a quick diagnosis, one of our team was on-site fitting replacement batteries, getting everything back up and running so our guests could continue enjoying their holiday with minimal disruption.

Our aim is always to get you back on the water as quickly and safely as possible, so you can get back to making memories. 💚
