Gaping Spark plugs today.

You may wonder why its important to Gap spark plugs correctly on a high performance or modified car.

It is important to correctly gap spark.plugs to prevent, spark blow out at high RPM, when cars have high performance maps and bigger turbos etc... you are increasing the pressure inside the cylinders of the engine. More pressure means you need a stronger more stable spark to prevent a misfire at high RPM this causing loss of power nd potential engine damage.

It is also important to run a cooler grade spark plug on a modified high performance engine, to help with the increased cylinder pressure and more importantly heat. A cooler spark plug helps to remove some of the heat quickly to prevent engine damage (detonation)
