Why do cars overheat more in summer?

Hot weather puts extra strain on your cooling system — and if something isn’t working properly, overheating can happen fast.

What’s the Difference Between an Oil Service Light & an Inspection Light?

Oil Service Light
This is purely for an interim service - engine oil and filter replacement and a smaller vehicle inspection.

It comes on based on:
Time - usually 12 months
Mileage - 10,000

It does not automatically mean a full vehicle inspection.

Inspection Light
This is a more comprehensive service reminder.

An inspection typically includes:
- Full vehicle health check (brakes, suspension, tyres, oil/coolant leaks, hoses, exhaust)
- All filters
Think of it as a full condition check rather than just maintenance.

Ignoring the difference can mean:
- Only changing the oil when a full inspection is due
- Missing wear-and-tear items
- Potentially affecting service history

If you're unsure which reminder your vehicle is showing, it’s always best to ask us for advise and have it checked properly!
