🚗💨 WEEKLY WORKSHOP RECAP! 💨🚗

Just a little look at some of the cars that have come through the doors this week, with plenty of happy customers and some exciting projects in the works! 🔥

🔹 Audi TTS – Came to us needing some serious TLC after being let down by another so-called “SPECIALIST” 👀 We’ve got it back in the right hands now! 💪

🔹 Jaguar XF 3.0 V6 Supercharged – The goodies have landed! 📦🔥 Ready for some serious loving next week. This one should be a good one! 😈

🔹 BMW 240i – The customer wanted a little OEM+ treatment, and that’s exactly what we delivered. Keeping it clean, keeping it classy, and making it better 💪💯

🔹 BMW 116i (N13B16) – The customer wanted to unleash some extra performance from this rather underpowered engine, so that’s exactly what we’ve been working on! 🚀 It’ll be hitting the dyno in the coming weeks, and we’re aiming to see DOUBLE the standard power! 👀🔥

Rise of the sleepers, did you say? 👀🔥

Here we have a humble little BMW 116i, packing the seriously underrated N13B16 engine, ready for a touch of spice! 🌶️

We’ve gone for some subtle but effective upgrades to get this one ready for mapping. Here’s what we’ve done so far:

🔧 Uprated .performance ignition coils and spark plugs, gapped to perfection. 👌

💨 New air filter. The old one had apparently been in there since 2019! 🥲 The customer was told it had a full service before buying it… 🤥🤥🤥

❄️ The main attraction: a big, bad intercooler fitted and ready to go!

We can’t wait to get this little sleeper on the dyno and see what it puts down. We’re aiming for nearly double its OEM power, if not more! 💪🔥

Keep those eyes peeled, because this one could be a proper little weapon! 👀👀

G42 M240i in for some upgrades! 🩶🔥

A few subtle upgrades to enhance this M240i, finished off with our usual attention to detail.

🔹Maxton Design front splitter fitted using the OEM bolt holes, with the underside thoroughly cleaned before installation.

🔹 Carbon rear spoiler upgrade with the OEM M Sport spoiler removed, all excess adhesive and residue cleaned away, the boot polished, and the new carbon spoiler fitted.

🔹 Anniversary badges fitted front and rear, along with matching wheel centre caps to complete the look.

🧼 Finished off with a complimentary wash, ready for the customer to collect and enjoy their pride and joy!

G42 M240i in for some upgrades! 🩶🔥

A few subtle upgrades to enhance this M240i, finished off with our usual attention to detail.

🚗 WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE HUB-CENTRIC WHEEL SPACERS! 🔧

When it comes to fitting wheel spacers, don’t cut corners on something that plays such an important role in the fitment of your wheels. 👇

✅ Proper wheel centring
Hub-centric spacers are designed to fit snugly over your vehicle’s hub and provide a matching centring lip for the wheel. This helps keep everything properly centred during installation.

✅ Help prevent unwanted vibrations
A correctly fitted hub-centric setup helps prevent wheel-centering issues that can lead to vibrations, particularly at motorway speeds. Nobody wants a steering wheel shaking like it’s trying to escape! 😂

✅ Correct fitment and support
A quality hub-centric spacer provides the correct interface between the vehicle hub and the wheel. When properly designed and installed, it helps maintain accurate wheel positioning and a secure fit.

✅ Quality matters
Always choose spacers manufactured from quality materials, with the correct centre bore, bolt pattern, thickness and hub engagement for your specific vehicle and wheels.

⚠️ DON’T FORGET: Hub-centric doesn’t automatically mean safe. Your spacers must be correctly fitted, use suitable fasteners with the correct thread engagement and tightening torque, and leave adequate clearance. Wheel fasteners provide the clamping force that secures the wheel, so never rely on the centring lip alone.

💯 The bottom line: If you’re running wheel spacers, choose a properly engineered hub-centric setup that matches your vehicle and wheels. Don’t compromise on quality just to save a few quid. Your wheels are the only thing connecting your car to the road, so get the fitment right! 🔥

You’re never late in a v8! Unless you don’t keep on top of the maintenance. Dans stunning RS4 with us for an engine service and all transmission oils replaced. Finished off with a courtesy bath.

At Tyrala Performance, we don’t stick to a standard 9-5. When this BMW E60 535D owner couldn't make a weekday, we happily squeezed them in on a Sunday to get it sorted.

We swapped out the lower front and rear arms, put on new arb links, and fitted fresh front discs and pads to fix those warped brakes. 🚗🛠️🔧

While working on it, we spotted a few other issues, so the customer will be booking back in soon to get those fixed and have a four-wheel alignment done.
