You all might want to check your M.O.T. expiry date as a very good customer of mine has just received an intention of prosecution through the post from the police requesting the name of the driver of the vehicle. It was picked up on an ANPR camera in ashton.
This is the 1st I have heard of this so maybe a new way of catching vehicles with an expired M.O.T.
It was a genuine over sight by my customer.
If you have lost your certificate you can check online or message me your registration and I can check for you.
Thanks for your custom and have a great Easter break

For 5 yrs now I have struggled with the air con on my landrover discovery, I have had it on machines trying to find the leaks, I repaired 2 but couldn't find the rest as the pipe work goes all over the car, it would last 2 weeks, 3 months ago I trailed a product that in my case has worked as the air conditioning is still working 3 months on, it isn't guaranteed to work 100% but it has for me, I have now purchased more of the product and if anyone is willing to give it a try to rectify faulty air conditioning drop me a message and I will arrange an appointment to take a look at it

Some testing jobs this last month but all done and some very happy customers, if you happen to be one of our happy customers could you please leave a positive review on Google please as we have had one bad review from a very bitter person with a false account and I presume that the bitterness isn't work related as I have never done any work for anyone of that name, I did reply and ask what we had done wrong but got no response and Google won't remove it even though I have explained that it isn't a true review.
Thank you all for your much appreciated custom

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Good evening we hope that you are all well and staying safe,
As essential workers we will be open for business as usual so don't hesitate to contact us if you have any issues with your vehicles, m.o.t. stations will be operating as normal so to avoid any problems i recommend that you keep your annual m.o.t. date as the added 6 months grace last lockdown caused a shortage of m.o.t. appointments and a back log.
We are always available to collect and deliver your vehicle back to you once work is completed.
Stay safe and well Regards Paul

Good evening everyone, we had a customer today that required a service on their vehicle and whilst it was in the garage I checked the status of its m.o.t. and it had expired on the 15th of March, when I told the customer about the vehicle having no m.o.t. he was shocked as he was under the impression that it had been extended to October, this only happens if your m.o.t expired after the 30th of March.
So check your m.o.t. as it could possibly effect your insurance if you need to make a claim.
If in doubt message your registration number and I will check the database for you where possible.

Evening all just a heads up on the 6 months extension on your m.o.t that you might want to read.
PLEASE READ IMPORTANT INFORMATION REFERENCE MOT EXTENSIONS!!! as an MOT testing station ( since 1997 ) we get heads up information from DSVA please read this. Many MOT garages and customers both believed that a 6 month extension is being applied to ALL vehicles over the next 6 months. This is NOT the case and never has been the case.

If you or your customer checks a vehicle today - and the MOT expiry date is a few weeks away - you will notice that the MOT expiry date still shows the original date. No 6 month extension applies. So why is this?

To understand this, you need to understand the mechanism the DVSA is using to apply extensions to vehicles.

The DVSA are taking into account the current state of alarm at any given moment. Therefore while a state of alarm is in effect, every day they update all vehicles with an MOT due within approximately 48 hours and apply the 6 month extension to them.

However, if the state of alarm is lifted, it is extremely likely they will stop applying extensions. The MOT expiry date will then remain the same.

For those customers who choose to wait, checking for an extension at the last minute may mean they have as little as 48 hours to get an MOT carried out or risk driving illegally and voiding there insurance.

Hi everybody we hope that you are all well and staying safe,
Been thinking about this 6 months grace on m.o.t.s
And it would be my advice to get your vehicle m.o.t.d if it is due just for peace of mind that you are driving a road worthy vehicle, garages and m.o.t stations are still open.
Another reason for this is can you imagine how many vehicles that will be taking advantage of the 6 months grace now imagine all them vehicles trying to get appointments for an m.o.t when they all expire in October, some garage may have closed down making it even harder.
Don't forget if you are self isolating or still working we can collect and drop off locally

Another happy customer today who had over looked his m.o.t. collected his van from where he was working, took the vehicle for m.o.t. carried out a few jobs required for the vehicle to pass its m.o.t then returned to the customer who had just been getting on with his day with out taking time away from work to get the vehicle sorted out.

Good morning everyone hope you are staying safe.
We are now working reduced hours but if you have any essential repairs to keep you mobile don't hesitate to get in touch, our parts suppliers are still open and are delivering as normal. We can also come out to you with our diagnostic equipment if you should have any warning lights illuminated on your dash board, you can leave your keys in a safe place so no need to break isolation.
We are willing to collect your vehicle locally and return back to you and again just leave the keys in a safe place.
Any payment can be made via bank transfer if you prefer, so again no need to break isolation.
STAY SAFE AND LOOK AFTER YOURSELVES

This week the government announced that vehicle m.o.t.s were going to be frozen from the 30th of March for six months, this caused confusion as I had a customer who is nurse ask if that meant she couldn't have her vehicle m.o.t.d as planned which wasn't the case garages and m.o.t stations are still open. We m.o.t.d the vehicle as planned which needed substantial work. 2 broken coil springs, rear brake pads worn out caused by a seized rear brake caliper, insecure exhaust. This vehicle could have been on the road for another 6 months putting this customer and her family at risk by being in a vehicle that wasn't safe to be on our roads because the government had frozen m.o.t.s. so if you choose to take advantage of the 6 months frozen m.o.t. law please keep a check on your vehicle, tyres, lights and anything else you might be concerned about get it checked out
