With nearly two decades of experience in driver education, I began my training to become a driving instructor in 2006 and qualified in December 2007. Since then, I have built a rewarding and successful career dedicated to helping learners of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds achieve confidence and success on the road.
My journey began with BSM, before joining the AA in 2010. In 2012, I became an independent driving instructor, allowing me to further develop a personalised and supportive approach to teaching. In addition to teaching learner drivers, I also specialise in training future driving instructors, supporting the next generation of professionals entering the industry.
Throughout my career, I have taken great pride in supporting my own family alongside my professional achievements, including helping my children with their additional educational needs and sponsoring my daughter during her time representing England in international table tennis.
As a mainly part-time instructor, I now focus primarily on intensive driving courses, working in partnership with Final ee Focused Intensives Ltd, a role I thoroughly enjoy. My passion lies in helping learners succeed through focused, confidence-building tuition tailored to their individual needs.
I am proud to have received several awards for my driving school, most recently being honoured with the prestigious Inspirational Women in Business Award, recognising both my professional dedication and impact within the industry.
Next year, I celebrate 20 years as a qualified driving instructor, and I continue to truly love the career I have built.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my grandchildren and family, playing golf, and making the most of the countryside.
