The Aston Martin that almost replaced the DB6 at

Unveiled in 1966 as the ‘DBS by Touring’, the DBSC was a 170mph vision of Aston Martin’s future, designed by Touring of Milan.

But it never made production. Just two prototypes were built on a DB6 chassis — one right-hand drive and one left-hand drive.

The one off prototype Vantage RS, with a detuned DBRS9 engine complete with a dry sump, much more subtle looks than a GT12, but never made it into production.

Amazing day at Simply Aston , barely got a chance to leave the stand but did see one of my favourite 90s Astons, the Vantage V600

The front arm camber and caster bolts on a DB9 had to be cut out, they were completely seized! This is pretty common with nearly 20 year old components with dissimilar metal corrosion and there's no chance of doing a 4 wheel alignment without replacing a fair few bits.

This Aston Martin Virage Volante 6.3L Widebody had torn through its diff front mount! A mixture of the raw power, fatigue and rust by the looks of things. It's going to go back together better than new!

It's not just DB7,9 & 11, we are privileged to look after a number of classic Astons including this striking DBS6. We're quiet relieved there isn't a laptop diagnostic insight! Out come the tools I inherited from my grandfather. And it's quite something to think the tools are older than this 50+ year old car!
