Good start to the season for our newly sponsored team Stafford Spartans Basketball Club adult A team 👌🏼 Luca Fraser played the majority of the second half and proved his signing 👌🏼 🏀

Match Report 🏀. SPARTANS WIN

Spartans Men’s 1st team played their 2nd league game last night away v Hanley Hustlers in Div2 West Mids League
After a defeat at home last week v Redditch the Spartans lads dusted themselves off got back on the training and came into this game much better prepared. Even with missing a few key players for this game the Spartans boys came out strong on Defence and protected the paint forcing Hustlers to settle for jump shots and we battled hard grabbing the defensive rebounds.

Our offence ran well with a mix of fast break opportunities and half court offences getting us some buckets.
A poor 3rd Quarter from us though let Hanley back into the game and they closed the 15 point lead back to a 1 point game.
A quick timeout or 2 and we adjusted to their press which saw Spartans pull that lead back to 13 points in the 4th.
All in all a tough game for both sides which saw Spartans come out on top.
Thanks to Hanley Hustlers Basketball Club for a competitive game as usual.

FINAL SCORE
SPARTANS 60 HUSTLERS 47

Our Sponsored Fms Car & Truck ltd MVP for this game went to BEN MOORE
Ben put his team first as he usually does and was an on court general, organising the squad and giving 100% on rebounds creating countless second opportunities for Spartans.
Great job Ben . Good to have you back 👏 🏆
