New on the training programme, our Inclusive PLUS PDR/GPR, 3 week course.....completed last Friday by Kris Guy.
His first week saw him undertake the foundations levels, cementing the repair process, and working in uninhibited panel areas, enabling 100% focus toward the repair sequences - recognising position, gauge of push pressure and aiming for tidy, efficient tool control in the target areas.
Week 2 saw an elevation in challenges, with the introduction to restrictions and obstructions, whilst maintaining a focus towards similar damage types and sizes - keeping it minor coin dings and short 4/5cm long creases. Limited access increases the difficulty on it's own!
Our approach to these repairs saw the added option of using GPR - Glue Pull Repair. Using glue opens up the ability of the technician to tackle dents that are overly restricted/limited, or have zero access at all.....win win, for sure!
Kris adapted well to all the added learning, and rolled it over into the third week, which is provided for continuity, and with the incusion of a 'live action' repair, out on the rounds with one of our franchisees.
Additionally, with the opportunity, we introduced some different tools and equipment to try.
All in, a fantastic 15 days, and he goes away, armed with tools, and the new found knowledge to practice further and gradually venture into picking up jobs.
Good luck Kris, and very well done π
