🛞 When Did You Last Check Your Tyres?

Your tyres are the only part of your car actually in contact with the road, so keeping them in good condition is pretty important

Worn, damaged or incorrectly inflated tyres can affect:

🚗 Handling & grip – making your car less predictable on the road
⛽ Fuel efficiency – incorrect pressures can mean you're using more fuel

🌡️🚗 What Should You Do If Your Car Overheats?

Seeing your temperature gauge climb or steam coming from under the bonnet can be worrying, but knowing what to do can help prevent serious engine damage.

Here's what you should do:

🛑 Pull over safely as soon as you can and switch the engine off.

⏳ Let the engine cool down. Never remove the coolant cap while the engine is hot – it can release boiling coolant under pressure and cause serious burns.

👀 Once it's cooled, check your coolant level if it's safe to do so. If it's low and you have the correct coolant available, top it up before driving any further.

⚠️ If the warning light stays on, the temperature rises again, or you're unsure what's caused it, don't continue driving. Driving an overheating engine can lead to expensive damage, including a blown head gasket.
