The most stress you suffered Connor Harvey, was immediately after I had asked if it would be possible to take your picture for the fb post 🤣 yes, of course your hair looks okay 🙄but I can understand the concern as we had to be up at the ‘crack of dawn’ for this one 😴 after only 5 lessons and a 1st time pass gaining only 3 faults, leaves me a little lost for words 😱 all the information was soaked up and regurgitated perfectly, in the correct order for each different scenario encountered and even the examiner was extremely bouyant in expressing his delight, saying ‘well that lovely drive has set me up for the day’ 😁

You managed to grab a last minute cancellation and wondered (well, your mum did 😆)whether it was too soon………….the result speaks for itself 😁

What fantastic progress you made Connor, very well done, best wishes for the future and safe driving 🚗

Once we’d got the sibling rivalry under control you didn’t put yourself under any undue pressure and passed first time with only 2 faults Luke Sorrell 😅 you have a lovely natural driving style - making progress when necessary but also dealing with hazards at a speed that kept that passenger seat very very comfortable 🙏 this was very dependent upon how focussed we were on our conversations which was addressed and dealt with once an understanding had been established ☺️ I have loved your communication skills Luke when we didn’t have too many hazards to deal with and your effortless driving has made lessons extremely comfortable and enjoyable which has only been possible due to your mum taking an enormous part in your success today, I just dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s ☺️ time on the road and dealing with as many hazards as possible is the most important aspect of learning to drive, to prepare you for driving as safely as possible when driving solo 😅

Very well done today Luke, best wishes for the future and safe driving 🚗

In spite of the delay on the A16, causing our plans for the pre test lesson to go just slightly awry, we maintained composure, practised the manoeuvres to within an inch of their lives and succeeded with a 5 fault pass 😅 practise with the ‘turning left at the roundabout and exiting in the right hand lane’ certainly came into play, which was executed perfectly and ‘driving to the conditions’ was also displayed with aplomb on the rather tight, uneven and challenging rural roads 😅

We have certainly had a ‘journey’ throughout our training, but that dogged determination has come up trumps - lane discipline (it’s never black and white - why do we need to be in the left hand lane if we’re taking the 3rd exit right 🤷‍♀️ because the sign and your lane choice says you need to 🙈) numerous explanations, pictures are helpful but you can’t beat real life situations 😨 sometimes I wish I’d worn brown trousers!!

I walked to the car on your return to the test centre and when I saw your face I thought “well, that clearly didn’t go well” 😩 the wait for the examiners verdict was painful, only to be met with “congratulations you have passed with 5 faults recorded” 😅 Zara, you not only earned that 1st time pass, but had the grace and composure to deal with the alternative, displaying a resilience that has been ever-present on our lessons 💪 we have talked, considered and taken time to really understand why we mis-judged a safe gap, over thought a manoeuvre and dwelled……….this is a great learning opportunity and makes for a brilliant experience when we master those demons 😅

The lesson before test created a certain amount of doubt but looking at the bigger picture, you knew and I knew you were more than capable of passing, which you did with aplomb 😊

Zara, what a great learning experience we had, congratulations on having the ability to calm those nerves and producing a very good, intelligent drive today 😁 best wishes for the future and safe driving 🚗

You made this look easy Will Vere, only possible by your confidence, professionalism and ability to focus 🙇‍♂️maybe having to get up at the crack of dawn for swimming training has played a large part in your discipline behind the wheel which has been apparent on a few occasions throughout our training when the decision to proceed or stop at an amber was dealt with safely, although the ‘should I, shouldn’t I?’ thought process was apparent on further discussion 😁 a mistaken road for a farm entrance caused a little ‘hotness under the collar’ and a rather rapid mirrors and signal then produced that ever-present doubt but was clearly deemed safe on the resultant debrief 😅

The only spanner in the works preventing a smooth transition from lessons to test was the stress of not knowing when or if you would be able to find a test cancellation and then the rapid cancelling of other pupils lessons to accommodate the test which, of course, would take priority!

Congratulations Will on your 1st time pass with only 3 faults, best wishes for the future and safe driving 🚗

Absolutely fabulous Isla, what a way to pass a test with only 1 driving fault although your head was telling you that you had failed twice - starting the car, only to be met with silence from the engine……….the cotton wool started to clear a little and instinctively depressed the clutch first before pressing the start button, then for waiting (what seemed like) a week and a half to emerge onto an impossibly busy main road, which was simply summed up by the examiners explanation that there weren’t any safe gaps - they see what you see 😅 these thought processes are a normal part of the pressured test scenario and the timing of the examiner’s interjection to steady those nerves was perfection itself ☺️

You drive with confidence, ease and your ability to reverse safely and adjust when necessary has become natural, spending hours with your Dad in B&Q car park, with the powers that be offering you the chance to purchase a season ticket 🤣

The first school run drive with your mum was hand clenchingly interesting and you can still see the nail indentations on the passenger seat 😅

All this private practice has been tantamount to your success today and you have become a very safe, smooth and competent driver Isla, it’s a pleasure to be your passenger 😊 massive congratulations on a brilliant result today, made even more enjoyable when it’s your Niece ❤️ enjoy your freedom, independence and safe driving 🚗

Myself and the examiner had a great sight seeing tour of Boston and its outskirts, made even more enjoyable by the precise routines that were maintained throughout, together with razor sharp planning and anticipation of potential hazards and we were even rewarded with a verbal Interpretation seen through your eyes from which many a full licence holder would benefit 😅 your enjoyment and relaxed persona was tangible on test today and I was ready to join in the conversation but remembered I was just an observer 🤣 many thanks to the examiner for creating an environment, conducive to a positive result today, but not taking away your skill behind the wheel 😁

Conversation was never lacking throughout our lessons and I now understand why fishing in Europe is preferable and admire your patience and understanding with the general public 😅

Taking charge of your learning is the best possible approach to success - we had plenty of both as we always discussed the areas that needed work and with your practical and keen sense of the need to ‘get it right’ it worked like a dream 😌 I did have to mention a few times your unconventional position of your hand whilst changing gear, however, it was in no way a hindrance in selecting the correct gear every time, but I wasn’t sure if you’d experience cramp - I did just watching you 😅 this became less pronounced as lessons progressed and you settled into a position that was right for you, maintaining that ever-important control 😁

Lowri, you have excelled in lessons, very closely followed by the conversation, always asking how my week was and always followed by a similar answer 🥱 I’m surprised you kept asking 🤣

A calm and comfortable introduction by the examiner set the scene for a very successful 1st time pass with only 4 faults helped greatly by your intelligent ‘reading of the road’ 😁

Congratulations Lowri on a lovely drive today and an even better journey throughout our lessons ☺️

We were both made to wait for the outcome of your test Emily Ball, a technical hitch with the examiners iPad created such a stress-induced ‘aura’ it was almost tangible, you were making every situation into a fail and I was thinking “how on earth am I going to defrost the chicken in time for tea 🤣 (no of course I wasn’t 🙄)!! After what seemed like an eternity we heard “I am pleased to tell you, you have passed” in a very soft voice followed by a smile 😁 then we were waiting again for the debrief which didn’t come - was there another technical hitch? 🤷‍♀️ what we did hear was “that was a really lovely drive with no faults recorded” 🤩

Your skill behind the wheel certainly deserved this outcome, but to perform THAT well whilst being observed is absolutely stunning Emily 🤩 this was helped greatly by the calm and considerate atmosphere in car, and the knowledge that, after asking how you were feeling, and you replying “a little nervous”, you could pull up for a few minutes if necessary, any time throughout your test - it’s the little things ☺️

What a great journey through to test, always kind and considerate, with the quiet determination to succeed and what a way to do it 💪

We started lessons with high energy chat, finished lessons with an even higher chat rate and had some very decent driving inbetween 😅 routines were maintained with the planning and awareness that manifested in extremely smooth braking and I only know this because you told me so 🤣🤣 I also know every single word your mum said to you during private practice for each particular scenario and your exact reply………….🙄 words are not needed 😆 the examiner had the pleasure of your running commentary, and struggled to get a word in edgeways during the debrief 🤣 this clearly worked wonders after coming away with a 1st time pass and only 4 faults Izzy Rogers 🎉

I really have enjoyed lessons, honestly (😆) you worked on the areas which had been highlighted in lessons and came back even stronger and more prepared, making for a very smooth progression to become test ready 💪
