During these extremely difficult times, the Team here at Dick Hillard Motor Services, are working hard to maintain a high level of commitment and service to our Customers.

We are open for business, (as we are exempt from government lock down because of the services we provide)
At this current time our opening hours will be 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (Saturday appointments are available)

If any of our customers feel uncomfortable at leaving their homes, we are offering a collection and delivery service. Once your vehicle’s work is complete. A payment must be taken over the phone before the vehicle will be delivered back to you.

We are also implementing a One-person only policy in our waiting area, for customers visiting our premises, to also comply with Government safety regulations.

Due to continued business growth we have an opportunity for a Skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our existing Team.

What we require

Skilled vehicle Technician to join our small team here , the applicant will need to have at least 5 years (min) experience working on modern vehicles
Have a good knowledge of modern car electrical systems and diagnostic equipment
Have the ability to carry out a wide range of repairs and servicing to a high standard and the appropriate time scale
Recognised motor trade qualifications would be an advantage but not essential , the ability to do the job is more important
Full driving licence essential
Be able to demonstrate good communication skills , this isn't a customer facing job but talking to clients will be involved
Expected to play an important role in a small team with the ability to use your own initiative
A 45 hour week will be expected , Saturday work & overtime will be available
Salary negotiable depending on experience, in excess of £30,000 PA for right applicant

We are a busy independent used car supplier, mechanical repair workshop / MOT centre in Long Sutton , South Lincolnshire , within easy travelling distance of Kings Lynn , Wisbech , Spalding & Boston, we have been established in the area for over 20 years striving to supply a quality value for money service to the local community.

What we require

*Experienced Service/ Parts Advisor , you will be the first point of contact when vehicles are booked in or dropped off for repair , this must be done in a professional and pleasant manor

* Prepare accurate estimates , source parts , instruct vehicle Technician's to correctly carry out

repairs to customers requirements , preparing invoices , contacting customers keeping them

informed about the status or completion of repairs, raise and process warranty claims

* Process customer payments

* Outbound call bookings

* Assist where required with used vehicle sales (training will be given)

* Generally be part of a small team working enthusiasm and efficiently to meet both managements and customer needs

Service Advisor Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in vehicle service department , knowledge of vehicle parts and services, computer skills, customer facing skills, team management, sales experience, enthusiastic attitude, self motivated.

Full UK driving licence

Please note : Only people with current motor trade experience will be considered
