From powder to pink snow foam. 🩷🫧

Ever wondered what goes into making AUTOSNOW?

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look inside the BOKS workshop:
1️⃣ The ingredients

The process starts with the powder being added to the mixer.
2️⃣ 12 hours of blending

The mixer works its magic, carefully blending everything together to create the finished formula.

3️⃣ The transformation
Once fully blended, the powder becomes a smooth, pink translucent liquid — ready for bottling.
4️⃣ Small-batch filling
There’s no huge automated production line here. Each bottle is filled individually in our small factory.

5️⃣ Waiting to be shelved
Once filled, the bottles are placed into a basket, ready for labelling, shelving and eventually making their way to your garage.

6️⃣ The finished product
And there’s Tom, holding the result — AUTOSNOW snow foam, made right here at BOKS Car Care.

Meet George. 👋

A genuinely happy man, a proper big lump of a bloke, and someone who clearly enjoys life — usually with a cigarette on the go! 😂🚬

George popped by the BOKS workshop to have a wander around, see what we get up to, and pick Tom’s brains for five minutes.

🧪 EVER WONDERED WHAT ACTUALLY GOES INTO A BOKS?

There’s no magic button.
There’s no warehouse somewhere sending us boxes of finished products.
We make them. From scratch.

And the bloke doing a lot of that work?
This is Tom. 👋

Tom has been working with chemical formulations and product development since 2013 — and that experience goes into every product we put our name on.

From weighing raw materials…

➡️ Testing it
➡️ Refining it
➡️ Filling the bottles
➡️ Labelling and packing it
It all happens here.

🐦 Why bird droppings can damage paint

1. They're chemically aggressive
Bird droppings contain uric acid and other compounds that can attack the clear coat—the transparent protective layer over your car's paint. It's not simply "acid" in the everyday sense, but the chemistry can contribute to etching and staining.

2. Heat makes the problem worse ☀️
When the car is sitting in direct sunlight, the paint gets hot and the dropping can dry and bake onto the surface. As it dries, it can become much harder to remove and the affected area can become etched into the clear coat.

3. The longer it stays, the greater the risk
Fresh contamination is generally much easier to remove safely. Leaving it for hours or days—especially through hot weather—increases the chance of a visible mark that may eventually require machine polishing to correct.

🚫 Why you shouldn't scrub it
When bird p**p dries, it can contain gritty particles and becomes hard and crusty. If you immediately attack it with a dry cloth or rub aggressively, those particles can be dragged across the clear coat.

That's essentially creating tiny scratches or swirl marks while trying to remove the mess.
Instead, the safest general approach is:

Soften → Dwell → Lift → Wipe gently

Use plenty of suitable cleaning product or water to soften the deposit first. Give it time to loosen, then gently lift/wipe it away with a clean, soft microfiber towel. Don't grind or scrub at dried residue.

🚗💙 MEET GARY.

West Midlands. Ford lover. Proud owner of a very tidy Focus RS. And apparently, a man who has a serious problem with bird s**t. 😂

We asked Gary what he thought of AUTOWAX…

His verdict?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10

He reckons it’s ridiculously easy to use, gives a great finish and, most importantly, the buffing is effortless.

But his favourite feature?

📦 A LITTLE GLIMPSE BEHIND THE BOKS

This is one of those things you probably never think about when you click “place order.” 😂

Before a BOKS lands on your doorstep, there’s a whole lot going on behind the scenes.

Boxes waiting to be filled.

Hundreds of bottles waiting to become something useful.

Shelves full of stock.

Mixing tanks.

Packing tables.

And, somewhere amongst all of it, usually me trying to remember where I put something 30 seconds ago. 🤦‍♂️😂

We’re still a small team, but we’re building something pretty bloody cool here — one bottle, one box and one order at a time.
