18 HOURS. 5 JOBS. ZERO CHANCE OF A QUIET DAY.

Yesterday was one of those days you know the ones where you start work and somewhere around hour 12 you begin questioning every life choice you’ve ever made.

Here’s a little insight into a very, very busy day for Recovering S6 👇

JOB 1 — 2AM START!
First job of the day had us on the road at 2am heading down to Dorset to collect this Honda Civic for a customer who had recently purchased it. Love an early start on long distance..ZERO TRAFFIC

JOB 2 — THE MOKKA RETURNS!
This little Mokka has been picked up by us THREE times recently, all with the same fuel-related issue. Hopefully this time it finally makes its way into a garage that can actually get to the bottom of it!

JOB 3 — CLUTCH CARNAGE!
This little Fiesta had previously been repaired by Mr Clutch in Crawley… unfortunately, there were loads of broken parts and the clutch had been incorrectly fitted.

So it was loaded up and taken over to Mr Clutch Southend to get everything properly rectified. Hopefully this time it leaves with a clutch that does it job!

JOB 4 — M25 ROULETTE!
This little Corsa decided to give up its head gasket on Junction 29 of the M25… during rush hour. Because if you’re going to break down, you might as well pick the absolute worst possible place and time.

The customer had owned the car for just FOUR HOURS.
Hopefully the seller does the decent thing and takes the car back!

JOB 5 — PRIUS VS CADDY
And finally, this Prius had a bit of an argument with a VW Caddy and unfortunately the Caddy won.

Looks like the Prius was T-boned and pushed into the kerb, bending the rear suspension arms and leaving the wheels looking very much like they’d had enough of life.

And that was the day…

18 HOURS ON THE ROAD. 5 JOBS. LOADS OF MILES. AND SOMEHOW WE STILL MADE IT HOME!

Whether it’s a breakdown, accident, long distance transport or a car that’s simply decided it no longer wishes to participate in modern life
Recovering S6 has got you covered.

📞 Give us a shout when you need recovery or transport day or night, we’ll get you moving.

Collected this rather interesting bit of kit for a customer today, a car scissor lift, collected from a military data centre!

Of course, getting into the site involved scanners under the truck, checks everywhere and enough security to make me wonder if i accidentally turned up for a James Bond mission!

But once we arrived, the truck got a proper inspection of its own… apparently it was very pretty and was rather admired!

Lift safely loaded and transported back to the customer, with another slightly unusual job ticked off for Recovering S6.

You never quite know what we’ll be moving next!

FORD SIERRA SAPPHIRE COSWORTH

Got the absolute pleasure of transporting this proper 90s icon again!

And before anyone starts asking
NO, she’s not broken!

This one is heading to the painter to bring that once beautiful paintwork back to life. She’s definitely earned a little TLC, and we can’t wait to see her looking fresh again!

Another classic safely transported by Recovering S6. 🚛

Nissan 350Z A Proper Throwback

Picked up this Nissan 350Z after its new owner purchased it and transported it safely back home for him.

These were THE car back in the Need for Speed Underground 2 days! Such a cool looking little sports car and one that still turns heads all these years later.

But this one isn’t staying standard for long

The plan is for a new engine, a couple of extra cylinders and a rather large snail strapped to the side of it 🐌

Safe to say, this 350Z is about to become a whole lot more interesting!

whether it’s a freshly purchased car, a restoration project or something a little more ambitious, we’ve got you covered.

Ford Focus Take a Guess?

Another Ford Focus EcoBoost recovered yesterday and safely delivered to a local garage.

Now comes the fun part I bet nobody can guess what went wrong with this one! 😂

If you know your EcoBoosts, you might have a pretty good idea already

Recovered, transported and delivered safely,
even when the engine has other plans!

🚨 BIKE RESCUE! 🚨

So tonight we had to rescue Daniel Wade from pushing his bike ALL the way home after its first proper outing since the bloody 80s! 😂

He’s not long had it, so you’d think it would at least give him one decent ride before throwing its toys out the pram, apparently not.

I reckon the bike saw the modern world, realised what it had signed up for and decided “Nah, f**k this, I’m staying here.”

So out came Recovering S6 to save Dan from a long evening of pushing, sweating and questioning his life choices.

Bike loaded, Dan rescued and everyone gets to go home without developing a new hatred for bikes

Need rescuing? Car, bike or anything else that’s decided it’s had enough give Recovering S6 a shout.

Now this one was a bit special! 😍
Got the call this morning to recover my old VXR powered Astra van a van I sold around two years ago.

She looks a tad tired now ill attach a photo to how fresh and pretty she once was but 2 years of daily use has taken its toll

Would I have it back? F**K YEAH! 😂
This little van was an absolute riot when I owned it, so it was genuinely brilliant to see it again. Unfortunately, this time around she’s suffered a dropped valve and is currently feeling a little less enthusiastic than she used to!

But knowing this van, I very much doubt that’s the end of the story
She’ll be back and probably even faster!

And this is exactly why Recovering S6 is here.

Well. not every car makes it home from a weekend at USC!

This tidy Toyota Glanza gave it everything on way to Santa Pod, but unfortunately on the journey home it decided it'd had enough. As Matt Armstrong would say... "Engine... very, very bad!" 😅

Thankfully, one quick call and it was safely loaded onto the truck and transported home without adding any more damage. It's now back where it belongs, ready for some investigation to find out why it's knocking its absolute heart out.

Whether it's your pride and joy, a daily driver, or a full-on track toy, if things don't quite go to plan, Recovering S6 is here to get you and your vehicle home safely day or night.

Hopefully it's nothing too catastrophic. but if the engine's started playing the drums, we might already know the answer! 🤞

Another example of why I keep saying these big breakdown companies aren't always there when you actually need them.

This wasn't even meant to be a job. I was on my way to another customer when I spotted an elderly lady sat on the side of a roundabout in tears next to her car after a minor bump.
Thankfully she was okay. The damage wasn't major, and the car would still roll. The only issue was the electric fuel cut-off had activated, meaning it wouldn't start until it was reset.

She'd already called the AA. Despite paying for their top level of cover, they refused to treat it as a breakdown because the car had been involved in a minor collision. Instead, they wanted to charge her over £300, plus £5 per mile, just to get her home.
So what exactly is the point of paying for premium breakdown cover if, when you're stranded and vulnerable, you're told to reach even deeper into your pocket?

I rang my customer, explained the situation, and without hesitation he told me to help the lady first. His transport could wait.
Twenty minutes later, her car was safely loaded, and she was back home where she belonged.

This is exactly why I do what I do. Recovery isn't just about loading cars it's about looking after people. I'd rather be a few minutes late to a job knowing someone vulnerable isn't left sitting on a dangerous roundabout wondering what to do next.
If you want a recovery service that puts people before policies, give Recovering S6 a call on 07956 344664.

The big companies might have thousands of vans, but they can't always guarantee you'll get the help you're paying for. I'd rather earn customers through genuine service than monthly direct debits.

they'll tell you everything you need to know. 💚

📸 Forgot to post this one! 🤣

For the life of me, I can't remember exactly what this vehicle was called! I think the owner said it was a Victus V8, but I could be wrong.

Last Sunday, I was on my way home from the Essex Petrol Heads meet in the truck and only a couple of miles from home when a neighbour gave me a call. He'd stopped to help an elderly gentleman whose classic car had broken down after the fuel pump failed.

I definitely wasn't dressed for work. T-shirt, shorts and Crocs! 🤣 It was my day off and the weather was too good to be working. But if someone's stuck and I can help, I'm not going to drive past.

I was with him within five minutes, loaded the car safely, and had both him and his pride and joy back home around 20 minutes later.

Sometimes this job is about more than just recovering vehicles. It's about helping people when they need it most. I wasn't planning on working that day, so I called it my good deed for the day and didn't charge the gentleman a penny.

At Recovering S6, whether it's a planned transport, a roadside breakdown or simply lending a hand when someone's in a difficult situation, I'll always do my best to help.

Thanks to my neighbour for stopping to help in the first place it's good to know there are still people out there willing to look after one another. 👏
