We are looking an experienced Car Mechanic/Vehicle Technician/Motor Mechanic to join our well-established independent garage in Southampton.
Candidates should have a high level of professionalism, be proficient in working on all makes of vehicles, and demonstrate efficiency and self-discipline. The ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently is essential.
The ideal candidate will have:
NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent / Time Served Experience
A Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points and no disqualifications within the last 5 years
Experience working in a professional workshop environment
Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing quality service
Ability to carry out fault finding and diagnostics using both diagnostic equipment and personal expertise
While 3 years of experience in the motor vehicle repair industry is preferred, we are willing to consider candidates who demonstrate the right skills and attitude.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from £34000 to £42000, depending on qualifications and experience. Hours will be full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with Saturdays on a 1 on 1 off rotation.

We are currently looking for a skilled MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician to join our team. Your role will involve conducting vehicle inspections, carrying out service and repairs to a high standard.
The salary for this role is £32,000 - £36,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The hours are full-time, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with overtime available.
Your responsibilities will include performing MOT tests on cars and light commercial vehicles, inspecting vehicles for safety and environmental compliance, identifying and reporting faults or defects, using tools and equipment for inspections, maintaining accurate records, providing excellent customer service, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
