Driving Test:
Beyond the Smiles !
Have you ever scrolled through a driving instructor's page, mine included, and seen a sea of smiling faces, each one a testament to a hard-won pass? It's a joy to share those victories, a moment of pure celebration. But behind those radiant smiles lies a story, a journey often paved with tireless effort, and yes, sometimes, tears.
We celebrate the passes, as we should. It's a milestone, a triumph. But my heart aches for those whose journey takes a different turn. The driving test is a formidable challenge, a crucible of nerves, excitement, doubt, and a whirlwind of emotions. And sometimes, despite their best efforts, it ends in a "not yet."
If it weren't for the sensitivity involved, I would proudly share their faces too, celebrating their courage, their resilience, their willingness to face the challenge again. For every pass, there's a story of perseverance, a reminder that the path to success isn't always linear.
And what about the instructor? What about me? When I watch my students drive away with the examiner, my heart holds only one wish: a happy ending. Seeing their dedication culminate in victory is a feeling beyond words, a shared moment of pure joy. But sitting with a student who didn't pass, witnessing their disappointment, it's gut-wrenching. It's a weight I carry with them.
I don't have a 100% pass rate. No instructor does. But what I do have is a deep, unwavering commitment to each and every one of you. You are at the center of my driving world. When you drive off to start your test, I see your potential, your determination, and I hold onto the hope of sharing your smile with the world. And if it's not today, it will be next time. I believe in you.
To all my students facing their driving tests: please, don't give up. You've come so far, overcome so much. You have the strength within you. You will do this. I believe in you, with all my heart.
Stay safe, and know that you are valued, no matter the outcome.
With warmth and unwavering support,
