One year ago, we proudly became Griffon Marine, rebranding from Griffon Hoverwork to better reflect the breadth of our expertise across marine design, build and support.

Since then, we've enjoyed a year of remarkable progress, marked by international success, industry recognition and continued investment in our people. Between 1 April and 20 July alone, 𝘄𝗲'𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝟰𝟲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀, expanding our capabilities to meet growing demand for our products and services.

Over the past year, we've secured major international contracts, expanded our global presence, continued to deliver specialist capability for commercial customers and the UK Ministry of Defence, welcomed government representatives to our shipyard, received recognition through industry awards, and remained committed to our local community by raising more than £10,000 for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

As we celebrate our first anniversary as Griffon Marine, we'd like to thank our employees, customers, partners and supporters who have been part of this journey. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to deliver world-class marine solutions for customers around the globe.

In June, Griffon Marine said farewell to Solent Express, which had been with us since 2011.

The craft was carefully lifted onto the cargo ship at Southampton Docks for the next stage of its journey. As one of the largest craft we've ever shipped, loading Solent Express was no easy task. With very little room to spare in the ship's hold, it was a challenging and carefully coordinated operation from start to finish.

Earlier this year, we announced the sale of Solent Express to Caspian Offshore Construction (COC), a leading provider of offshore marine support services. Renamed Caspian Eagle, the craft will begin an exciting new chapter in the North Caspian, supporting oil and gas projects as part of a fleet of icebreakers, tugs, accommodation and specialist vessels.

We wish her and her new crew every success in the years ahead.

Today, on International Women in Engineering Day, we're celebrating the talented women helping shape the future of Griffon Marine and the wider marine industry.

From apprentices taking their first steps into engineering to senior leaders driving innovation and delivery, women now represent 15.6% of our workforce. Their expertise spans engineering, fabrication, production, design, procurement, finance, HR and marketing - demonstrating that engineering excellence is built by diverse teams working together.

This year's INWED theme, Engineering Intelligence, reflects the innovation, collaboration and problem-solving that our people bring to every project.

To continue the conversation beyond today, we will also be launching our new monthly Women at Griffon interview series on YouTube in the coming weeks, sharing the real career journeys of women across our business.

The Griffon Marine Ltd team is preparing for another busy Seawork, showcasing the engineering expertise and build quality that supports mission-critical patrol and specialist craft.
